Talking about Sweden is an ultrabannable offense.

Too bad being completely and utterly wrong isn't a bannable offense.

If something on this scale is imminent, it would've happened before in the last 5 billion years.
And yet the planet still has an atmosphere.
Any sort of solar flare would only disrupt electronics and would not affect people. And turning off all the electronics in the world does not mean its end.
Anything important to society is EMP shielded anyway. EMP was one of the many side-effects of a nuclear war, and how long did we face one of those in our history? Everything important in military is EMP shielded, same with government.
And how do you know it hasn't happened in the last 5 billion years? Just because Earth has an atmosphere doesn't mean it didn't happen, which isn't really relevant.A solar flare on the level that it would directly affect humans with radiation would first have to strip away the magnetic field of the earth and the atmosphere to do so.
Earth still has an atmosphere and a magnetic field.
An ancient civilisation with not even half the scientific equipment we have today could not have predicted a solar flare in 2000 years. They couldn't even look directly at the sun! How do you expect them to observe it and predict its solar patterns and behavior?
