And if your wondering why my Halo 3 stats are so low, it's because I played it offline for a year. I did however play a tonne of multiplayer/customs at a friends house.

Also played a fair amount of CE and 2 round at friends. But despite a few flaws, I still prefer Halo 4.

I'm just going off the on-disc maps and the first batch of DLC (Foundry, Standoff and Rat's Nest) from Halo 3. As that's where Halo 4 is at the moment.

I'm not saying Halo 4 has especially good maps. I'd rate the maps as follows, just to give you an idea:

Haven 9/10
Adrift 6/10
Abandon 5/10
Solace 4/10

The Pit 8/10
Guardian 7/10
Narrows 5/10
Construct 4/10
Isolation 3/10

For fun, here's my Halo 2 list.

Lockout 10/10*
Midship 9.5/10
Beaver Creek 7/10
Ivory Tower 6/10
Ascension 4/10

*I know Lockouts a bit more broken than Midship, but it more than makes up for that by being fun as hell.

I like Halo: Reach. I think its a fun game. What i DON'T like about it is that the maps such as SwordBase is terrible. I don't hate armor lock, but i can say it can sometimes get annoying. Bloom doesn't bother me either.

Never played Halo 2 Multiplayer, only campaign. I think Halo 4 is a great game and is a fun one too, but It doesn't top Halo 3 because of the lack of custom game options and the glory days of custom games.

What I like in Halo 4 more than Halo 3? I like the smoothness and how fast paced it is. It doesn't feel clunky. I don't like the strafe tho, I thought strafing in Halo 3 was better because you could make it unpredictable, With Halo 4 when i try to make the strafe unpredictable I feel as if i get stuck in one spot at one moment.

I know everything, I've just forgotten most of it.

Also, my XBL Gamertag is 'Wenggh', not 'A Stolen Fruit'.

I find Halo 4 fun, but it wasn't as fun as Halo 3/CE (Never got to play Halo 2 Multiplayer).

More fun than Reach though!

While I agree some maps from halo 4 are better the core gameplay is far from original halo. A class system based on progression where higher ranks have better equipment is far from everyone stands on equal ground. Halo 4s ordinance and personal ordinance system is based on luck not skill. You could have two equally good teams but one winning because they roll binary rifles and rockets while you get needlers. So op I agree to be honest pre tu halo reach is better than this game of chance halo 4.

I agree, it's a -blam!- terrible map. My K/D on that map is crap compared to other maps. Idk why, I just do horribly and nearly always go negative.

It's like Isolation in terms of how segmented the top is from the bottom, except in this instance, the top is full of clutter, far too much cover and odd height disparities.

Have you never had fights where you have to look down at your feet chasing a guy who's trying to run to bottom-mid to escape, or have to look up to the sky to fight with the guy on the base's sniper perch? Vertical variation is good, but it shouldn't go to such extremes. It's one of the reasons I'm not fond of Construct either.

The side rooms on the bases are too small and leads to random grenade spamming. The blind corners at the sides of the bases have the same problem. The bases aren't even symmetrical.

It's just a mess of a map really. It looks pretty though. I like the colour palette of rust, fire and foliage.

5 to me means average. I don't mind playing on it but wouldn't vote for it.

CTF wise, I would rather the Flags spawn on the two sides of the map rather than the "bases" as it would be symmetrical then and the sniper perches could be power positions to hold.

Same for Haven, rather than the open/light and closed/dark sides of the map, I'd rather the flags spawn by Needler and Sticky Detonator stairs.

My service record is accessible to you if you're so keen on seeing it. As far as it goes, I'm not very high due to the game only being out for a little over a month.


I find the game more appealing in the aspect of everything, actually*. The sounds, gameplay and campaign are all awesome. Though they've removed some key elements that I held dear in the previous versions, I do not feel any less attracted to Halo 4.


As for CoD, I have played the game since CoD 4 and do not find it to be any better.

It'd be terrible if the flags spawned where you said on either map, especially Solace. As soon as anyone grabbed a flag it'd be nigh on impossible to stop them from capping as there wouldn't be enough distance between flag points.

If you prefer Halo 2 multiplayer then you enjoy untested buggy as crap multiplayer and cannot comment on anything to do with multiplayer as far as im concerned.

How can you say aiming 5 feet away from somebody and get a head shot skill? How can you call the BxR skill? How can you call super jumping skill?

You can't but yet the whole thing is praised, as far as im concerned anybody that likes Halo 2 hates balance which is why Halo Reach and 4 is hated by them.

Halo 1 had the pistol and 2/3 had the BR.
