Subject: If you think Halo 4 is the best game of the series...

Halo no longer has that chess kind of approach on it where two teams battle for map control, working together to outplay the other team. Its now a bunch of sugar rushed ten year old's playing soccom boppers at 12:00 AM.

5) AAs better than Equipment. No Bubble Shield, Regen Field isn't overpowered, etc.

umm no

Paranoia is a very comforting state of mind. If you think they're out to get you, it means you think you matter.

Halo 3 is terrible, but it's not as terrible as Reach. Halo 2 had the best multiplayer by far - maps were the best and button combos meant the game could actually be played competitively.

And for all the haters, level 50 second account, and I guaruntee that my k/d is higher than all of you.

Numba one Italian on da flud.

I like the game. I'm not comparing it to any other Halo.

What about this?

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I really love Halo 4, it has flaws but I enjoy the feel of the game and have enjoyed playing with friends.

I loved Halo 2 and 3 though, hated Reach.

I've always had a positive k/d and was a 45 Brig in H3, COD is terrible and I hate it.

Which category do I fit in?

Oh, and if you could also state how much Call of Duty you have played in your XBL career that would be great, thanks.

I like how you guys bash the Call of Duty community as if they're all immature 8 year olds. Yet, if you go to a COD forum nobody behaves like an immature brat as much as the Halo community does.

Also, I'd like for you to explain what it is you find more appealing in this game than in 2, 3, or even Reach.

Things I like about Halo 4:
-The guns sound more like guns.

-Weapons aren't completely useless. Just like in CE you have powerful weapons.

-You can choose what weapon you want to spawn with.

-The Master Chief actually has a personality.

-I like the vehicle designs. The Warthog looks a little more like a vehicle that is made for combat.

-They made Forge easier to use. For example the item you are holding/hovering get's highlighted.

Oh, and if you could also state how much Call of Duty you have played in your XBL career that would be great, thanks.
LOL. Immature kid much?
Call of Duty 2: About 10 hours.(Campaign.)

MW2: About 6 days.

MW3: About 10 hours.(Campaign.)

Black OPS: 13days, 4hours, 12minutes.

Yes they do, idiots play and talk about every game on every forum. Stop painting this "us and them" picture about fanbases.

COD is played by a majority of young kids, you can't escape that, people being tools on a forum are no better though.

Your best bet is not to get into an arguement about it.

H4 is ok, the weapon spawns (or lack thereof) are the only thing I don't really like about it. Much better than Reach.

Neither of them are as good as H3 but that might just because I played thousands of games of it and generally don't play as much xbox as I used to (whereas I have about 300 max of Reach and around 70 of H4 so far). I was a 50 in Dubz and 47 in TS.

Don't play CoD except for the campaigns, haven't bought one since CoD 4 (just borrowed them off friends since then) and will have about 100 MM games top across MW, MW2, MW3 and Blops.

I find your inquiry childish and redundant at best. You're not focusing on any aspect of the game. As if "Service Records" are any indication of ability to rate a game or measure of intellect for that matter. Further into your post you ask how much "Call of Duty" experience a player has? Implying that Call of Duty experience shows some lack of ability to tell rate a halo game. Sadly you're mistaken on everything you've asked for. Service Records in multiplayer show how much time someone has put into the multiple player realm of the game, it doesn't have an impact on your mental ability to take multiple factors and render them into a cohesive judgement on how good a game is. Furthermore you would want a player to have multiple points of view and gaming experience (such as Call of Duty) in order to fully understand the video game industry and the type of game (in this case all FPS games ever created would be a good reference). If you like redundant and childish questions then please post a picture of your College Degree, SAT/ACT (ASVAB if you have it) scores/ AP/IB scores if you have them. No? don't want to then please don't ask a community for stupid things like our service record in an attempt to help your flawed logic and ego.

You mean to say that everyone who enjoys Halo 4 most of the series either sucked in previous Halos or is a CoD-fanboy?

This level of stupidity is disturbing.

But how is the OP supposed to feel better about himself if he can't trash talk other people? In real life he's the kid that gets locked inside the locker and he's a squeaker on Live. So the only way he can act tough is behind his computer monitor. And the only way he can do that is by insulting other people whose stats are worse than his.

Maroon 5 is awesome. Deal with it.

Halo Reach is my favourite Halo game. Then Combat Evolved. It's not me saying I didn't enjoy the multiplayer for 2 and 3. Both had their problems. But they weren't nearly as bad as they are now with Halo 4

Halo 4 is probably the worst entry in the Halo series in all aspects apart from Visuals and VA. Multiplayer is currently broken until the following issues are addressed:

Piss poor Hit Detection
BR and DMR are the only viable options for Loadouts, Light Rifle and Carbine's Kill times too long to compete with the BR and DMR
DMR needs a nerf
Boltshot needs Halo 3 Mauler physics.
Forge maps need to be put in circulation (Vanilla ones I mean)
Join in Progress is bad
Make it so when you back out of a playlist search, that it keeps you on the playlist you last searched in, instead of going down to the next playlist

Things that makes it worse:

Removal of firefight to have the boring Spartan Ops replace it
Forge is somehow worse than it's Predecessor
Campaign was severely short for Legendary
Armor all looks terrible
No Campaign in Theater mode

That being said, I still have spikes of enjoyment from Halo 4, but it feels like I'm playing a bastard child of a Treyarch rendition of the CoD series.

I change shapes just to hide in this place but im still im still an animal...

Here's my service record, now educate me on how im enjoying myself wrong.

http://app.halowaypoint.com/en-gb/Halo4/Harbing3r%20UK/home/

I prefer it over all the other halo's.

My favorite campaign so far, Didact was a real good nemesis, had a crap end boss fight but all the other halo's were just as bad for boss fights. The story was pretty good and gave the most emotional characters BY FAR compared to the other halo's, Cortana and chief especially.

The overall look of it, of course its the most recent one and so the graphics are going to be more stunning than the rest, but the design of everything is far better and more detailed than anything before. All the weapons and spartans look kick ass and not like toys anymore. Yes some helmets are the fugliest to date but the others are the best.

Gameplay feels as great as ever, same old forumla refined and armour abilities are fine. And the multiplayer is my favorite by far. Feels like a great sandbox than before, armour abilities all work and are not overpowered like bungies disaster armour lock. Its a hell of a lot faster paced than the previous halo's. They took a few steps to correct erroes bungie never bothered to correct. The "perk" system which reduces bungie fanboys to tears is perfectly fine. None of them are overpowered and game braking, yet they are all worthwhile to try out. So what if thats copied from another game, there are a hell of a lot more games out there that have copied from halo. Whats wrong with getting the best bits from other games to make something better?

Overall i find it the most enjoyable to play, the most overhauled sequal, and the most enjoyable story and campaign. Any features that have been removed like campaign theater are things that never bothered or interested me in the first place. Take Spartan ops for example, yes the dialouge is pointless in it, but we get waves of different changing enemies, different vehicles, and different objectives. Then look at firefight, we got waves of different changing enemies,we got waves of different changing enemies, and we got waves of different changing enemies.

And yes i have played every other single halo since the release of Halo:CE right up to halo 4.

Oh and i dont touch call of duty, i despise the game.

Halo CE: Best campaign.

Halo 3: Best multiplayer, bar none. In my opinion, Halo 3 has the best multiplayer experience - everything from the party system to the completely balanced gameplay and the legendary map design is awesome. My problem with Halo 4 is that 343 have clearly taken stuff from CoD. If I wanted to play CoD with its unbalanced, reflex-based gameplay I would play CoD. I love Halo multiplayer because it is balanced and fair, something which Halo 4 is not thanks to loadouts and what is essentially care packages with a different name.

I don't see how the Call of Duty bit can be brought up. I've played quite a bit of CoD (enough to know that the best gametype is a SWAT styled Search and Destroy custom gametype) and still hate Halo 4... and I haven't even played it yet.

Halo 2 for the win.

Finally had a chance to read everything ITT, and the results were of no surprise. Everyone that likes Halo 4 the most was bad or at best average at previous Halo games. In other words, they are most likely casual gamers. Which is by all means ok, some just play differently than others.

My whole point of the thread was to show that Halo 4 is casual gamer exclusive. Why, is my question. Why not give any competitive gametypes to the ones who want it? It's been that way with all the others (Reach being excluded). Now anyone looking for a competitive Halo experience has to put all of their hope on a TU that 343i has not given any information about. Feels bad man.

Oh look, someone who actually looks at service records to see if someone's opinion is valid.

What are the odds?

I don't play CoD, won't let it into my console. I prefer Halo 4's MP to Reach's and quite possibly 3's in some aspects.

My opinion, and yours does not agree, nor will I care to alter it.
