Rain, and Jazz.
Halo: Tactical

I'm either a fool or an inteligent man, depending on how sleepy or angry I am.

I originaly made an account on 07.27.2007 but I wanted to link my GT and made this account. Don't forget your passwords!

How is it holding up? Are there still some serious/gritty parts?

It was originally supposed to end with the first season, but due to its popularity, they decide to double the amount of episodes and eventually quadruple them.

it is such a great show, its a great sequel and the thing is you don't even think of it as a sequel (or at least I didnt).

But yes 5/5 would def watch again, im actually now going to re-watch all of the first 4 seasons. There are serious parts and there are parts where you feel oppressed and want to beat the crap out of some people. I was surprised how much emotion was evoked out of me in these 12 episodes.

what do you think of the show flood?

Episode 5, man. All my feels shattered after that episode.

But although the S.S Borra hit the Makorra iceberg I have decided that I am going down with the mother-blam!- ship.

Non Nobis Nascimur - We are not born for ourselves.

Overall, I liked it. I felt the pro bending stuff was utterly pointless, a waste of time, and a cancer to the show, but other than that I liked it.

why shatter all feels? I knew that was going to happen, the girl avatar will have boy problems to deal with. But stick with it to the end man. Cliche joke right now: definitely a better love story than twilight.

On the contrary I actually felt that was very innovative to think of an idea like that. It was always mentioned to be the best bender or be a good bender but there were never competitions or teams of any sort. I thought that was a great addition, but we each have our opinions.

What I didn't like was the civilization thing of cars and planes and all, it was a good twist (can't expect them to be on foot forever) but its something that grew on me and definitely threw back some nostalgia on the older episodes when traveling was difficult.

Only cartoon to ever wrest tears from me, man. That ending.

"But you called me here." I lost it. Season 2 can't come quick enough, it's even better than TLA.

Lacked the spiritual stuff. And the martial arts.

And it was rushed.

But really, it's only the bloodbending that I didn't like. Amon was cool. But someone that powerful can only be defeated by deus ex machina afaik. Whenever I think of the Didact, this show comes to mind.

Do you mean The Last Airbender? And Korea isn't really that great if you ask me.

It was called The Legend of Aang outside of the U.S.

Lol. Good scene.

I think the first season of LoK was poorly written,
I'll use the ending of the first season as an example, the way the equalist conflict was solved was by revealing Amon as a fraud, the problem with this is that just because Amon himself was a fraud doesn't mean that his view on the inequality between benders and normal people was somehow wrong, defeating Amon would not change the fact that people who can't bend the elements are being treated unfairly by those who can. But some how in the end everything is magically all good and people just went on with their lives.

Also, the second season most likely won't touch on any of this either since there is a 6 month time skip between the seasons and the new season has a completely new plot line that is unrelated to the first season.

There were quite a few plot holes, it was never explained how Amon removes bending other than 'using bloodbending', the fact that Tenzin's family was captured even though we clearly saw that they escaped was never explained.

Also the way Korra unlocked her airbending, as well as how she got her bending back was completely ridiculous. The reason she couldn't airbend was because she had a very headstrong mentality and always faced things head on, the key to airbending was that she need to change her mentality and learn to face her encounters with a more evasive and defensive mentality, but instead of this what happened was "the power of love overcomes all" and she punches the air and a puff of wind magically comes out.

The way she got her bending back was a complete Deus ex Machina, she stood on the edge of a cliff and cried, then aang's spirit shows up and makes everything all good again. No spiritual journey, no self reflection and seeing how she is more than just her abilities, instead just cry and everything will magically be all good again.
