Good.

It's not legal in Mexico to have that kind of weapons around.
The gun doesnt even
It doesn't matter, is not legal.
That sure stopped the cartels.

???
Sounds like he is essentially saying that the Marine should be in jail, no matter what, because guns are illegal in Mexico. And I just made (or at least tried) the point that cartels still have numerous guns, even though they are illegal.

Anyway, it's god to know the Mexican police have their priorities straight. God they release the Marine back to US custody and they go after the cartels. That would be too much work.

Yes, godforbid the mexican government does anything about it

Yes, clearly they are doing nothing.

Are you saying that a couple of individuals (It doesn't care if they're marines in their country, in Mexico they're just a couple of individuals) carrying a gun, are in any way, comparable to a fully organized drug cartel?

sure, two people with one antique shotgun that cant shoot are more dangerous than the cartels who kill, -blam!-, and steal on a day to day basis

Because he was in Mexico carrying that gun, not in the U.S.
So? we've saved a bunch of reporters in North Korea by sending a former president. You're telling me that we cant do the same now?

Yes.

They broke the law in Mexico.

The reporters broke the North Korean law yet we saved them...

Who cares? Why was he stupid enough to go in there with a gun?

his family? Many other Americans?

Why are you saying that this man should have special treatment because he is a soldier? He should be punished just like everybody else is when they break the law.

Just like the reporters in North Korea that we saved

Exactly, that's why the "autorities" can't engage the cartels.

I know the police here is more than useless, but it's good to see that at least, they are enforcing some laws.

it doesnt matter, he's an american soldier, we shouldn't leave one of our own to a court system thats corrupt. Instead of Mexico putting him on trial why dont we bring him back and have him on trail here?
>implying he should get special treatment because he's a soldier

I have no idea what you are talking about, and just because some people were saved doesn't mean everyone should be.

 • 12.20.2012 10:54 AM PDT

Are they just holding him?

 • 12.20.2012 10:55 AM PDT

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Why would they want to go to Mexico?

Again, it doesn't matter the risk factor or anything, they broke a law, they should be in jail.

They don't deserve any special treatment for being americans, or being soldiers or whatever.

You know they're only doing this because they're American right? If it was a Mexican they wouldn't do anything because there's no money to be extorted from them.

Posted by: Thundastruck
Totally...

Oh man, linking tourist destinations that are only kept that way due heavy investment by American, Canadian, and European businesses who want to sell timeshares and vacation packages.

Go take a look at the real Mexico. It's essentially a "third world country" and on the verge of being declared a failed state.
