It seems like Halo 4 fixed a lot of Reach's problems with consistancy, but introduced numerous troubling problems of it's own. I haven't had a ton of time with the game, but a lot of their design decisions have me baffled as why they would do that other than to be contrary canaries.

I feel like Halo 4 is what Bungie were shooting for with Reach, at least gameplay-wise. H4 is a lot more polished than Reach and actually feels like a finished product.

That said, I'm still not a big fan of the multiplayer. Would rather play H2&H3, even if it's just LAN or split screen with friends.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Reach would have been much better without bloom. I think campaign and multiplayer is better in 4, I would like to some forge maps in matchmaking though.

I disagree entirely. Reach had way more of an emphasis on team success compared to Halo 4's emphasis on personal success.

Call me Stu

I feel Reach did do better than Halo 4 in some cases like forge and customs.

Pass the controller bro

halo 4:

pros:

-better maps, colorful etc
-more guns, less useless guns (better weapons sandbox)
-faster gameplay, less annoying
-better immersion through sound effects and camera movement, feel like an actual spartan
-no more mini nukes

cons:

-campaign is confusing and lacks distinctive moments and locations just like in reach. still fun to blast through though.
-prometheans are tiresome and unexciting to fight, too much grey everywhere.
-most prometheans weapons feel dull.
-have to use waypoint to watch terminals. if you weren't required to watch them on waypoint, the campaign would have been more easier to follow since the terminals are pretty useful.
-soundtrack not up to par with previous halo's, but it does have a few nice tracks.

those are my thoughts, not really interested in having a dicussion about it

How? The overall objective is still to get more points/kills than the other team, and it's even harder to play the 'lone wolf' role in H4 than it was in Reach because the kill times are shorter.

you could argue shorter kill times make it more loan wolf, call of duty's kill times are short as hell which is why its easier to loan wolf that game. Saying that, halo 4 definatley tried to make it more team based with auto flag pick up and odd ball throwing.
