Half of both.

Only time will tell. Mistakes were made with Halo 4, and we'll see how 343 Industries adjusts their approach with Halo 5.

I do not want to stop asking. I do not ask to stop wanting.

Added to it in a positive manner as far as the narrative goes, in my opinion?

It did neither... I think of it as separate game from the entire series.

The fact that I know that this is the truest thing I'll read all day makes me sad.

Hopefully 5 rocks, but my guess is that it will be on the Nextbox.

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

Yup. There really won't be a break until 343 does something abhorrent. Dragon Age II is an example of a game breaking a franchise. Halo 4 was by no means the equivalent to that.

They confirmed it will be.

Break. I'm done with Halo.

  • 12.20.2012 2:46 PM PDT

Neither.

  • 12.20.2012 2:46 PM PDT

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

343 have made some big mistakes for sure but they seem comitted to fixing them, if they keep the updates up with Halo 4 and try their best then I will support them.

Over the last few years I have witnessed many devs putting out crap then abandoning it, if 343 support their product then I will support them.

Made it story wise IMO, and made multiplayer at least for me, a bit less fun.

I swear to DRUNK, I'm not GOD!

Microsoft stole the IP from its creators, handed it off to an artificial "studio" that molested it, and sold it as a sequel to a story arc that didn't need to be continued. Halo is dead.

I say in between. It's an amazing game, but the people who think they're entitled to a perfect game with no flaws ruin the mojo.

Bungie actually gave up with halo, and MS was forced to give the IP to 343.

I second this. I wish more people would focus on the fact that MS stole the IP from the original creators. It would be like another entity making Mario instead of Nintendo.

  • 12.20.2012 3:02 PM PDT

It remade the franchise, it didn't do either.

But it did do what was necessary given the market, whether or not people can accept that.

^^The last time Bungie owned Halo was in 1999 when it was going to be a Mac OS game.

No. Why would Bungie want to give it up? Why not keep it and just not work no it? It is a successful IP that is not only valuable for the business, but also their art they are proud of. It just doesn't make sense, unless it was MS forcing it from them.
