Microsoft stole the IP from its creators, handed it off to an artificial "studio" that molested it, and sold it as a sequel to a story arc that didn't need to be continued. Halo is dead.

Just about the way I feel.

Bungie actually gave up with halo, and MS was forced to give the IP to 343.

No. Why would Bungie want to give it up? Why not keep it and just not work no it? It is a successful IP that is not only valuable for the business, but also their art they are proud of. There was no amicable parting of ways.

I'd be bitter and resentful towards MS.

Again, Bungie never owned Halo. They were bought out in 1999. Microsoft always had control.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

~Long Live Halo 2
Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Reach already broke it.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

For the second trilogy, I think it made it, and that they will (ideally) improve from here. Also first three posts.

"Banhammer" - Post anything on the Waypoint forums -50g
Never forget:
Porch Day
lolReach
Gen Petitt Day
Night of the Living Alts

Well, Reach kinda broke it first. Halo 4 is just fuel to the fire.

It definitely didn't "make" the franchise, y'know, considering it's been one of the most recognisable franchises in gaming for the last decade.

Neither, just another installment.

Both.

The game has a fine set of mechanics in terms of weapons and armor abilities. It's just that they were integrated in the most poor way they humanly possibly could be.

No Spawning with a 5 Shot Sniper Rifle/Shotgun/Active Camo is not balanced. I also don't like ordinance; it's kind of silly.

Flagnum is bad.
Auto obj. pickup is bad
Custom game options are bad.
Scope flinch is bad.
