Subject: The United Nations needs an "extinction squad"

I'm being totally serious. A group that goes around the world, operation to operation to wipe out species that threaten the safety and well being of the world. They would also put bounties on the heads of these animals/plants. They could start by liberating Australia of all the spiders (I freaking wish).

What do you think?

Spiders arn't even a problem here. You only get bit if you're an idiot and stupid around them or if one hides in your shoe.

There are some invasive species like asian carp, etc that are way too above game for the rest of the ecosystem and are destroying it.

Invasive species

Creating an imbalance in the ecosystem is never a good idea.

Humans..?

And the UN already has their "GET THIS -blam!- DONE THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY!" squad. It's called the United States military.

It's not an imbalance. There are animals introduced to whole new ecosystems and DESTROY THEM. Invasive species

They are not part of the ecosystem. If you hate lumbersjacks for tearing down trees you should hate invasive species too because they are doing the same thing

I don't think the US military has the equipment to take down entire species. They have the equipment for stopping human forces that pose a threat to the security of their country and all it's allies. Not snakes, beavers, or carnivorous fish.

I'm pretty sure we could end everything's existence, hence the fear induced during the Cold War. But, I do agree that we (most likely) can't end a specific species' existence.

The US military has the equipment to kill the large majority of living things on Earth.

Edit: Damn, someone beat me to it.

They were never suppose to be there in the first place. They are tearing apart and destroying the ecosystem like a flame. That is NOT how nature works.

Supposed to? Life isn't planned; species are constantly changing and some become extinct.

Please explain how this defies the way that nature works.
