Burn Bright. Burn Blue. Love ya Bungie!

I've been trying all day to launch and play Garry's MOD with no success. The game was working fine last night.

Whenever I click to play the game in my library, it behaves like it is preparing to launch the game. After a given amount of time, however, it stops preparing and takes me back to my desktop without launching the game.

This has never happened to me. I followed all the necessary precautions such as uninstalling and reinstalling the game and removing the ClientRegistry.blob file and restarting STEAM.

I need help, STEAM users. What do I do now?

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

There was just a source update, which tends to break G-Mod. Nothing to do but to wait for Garry to release a fix.

I asked for help. Not some smart ass remark. If you have nothing in terms of advise, I'd suggest not posting anything and moving along.

Garry's Mod is no longer on Source, it's on an independent engine, still ported from Source.

Try Verifying your Game Cache, and Defragmenting your Game Cache.

Halo 3 is where the morons of the universe congregates.

I am thinking of an old story. "Three Billy Goats Gruff" (hint the troll dies at the end)

If you had an electron microscope, you still couldn't find the -blam!- I don't give.

Ya, that sometimes happens. Try a steam restart, a pc restart, a reinstall of Gmod

The only thing I can recommend doing is to;

-Go to Garry's Mod in your Library
-Right click and select "Properties"
-Go to the "Local Files" tab
-Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

What this will do is it will scan all of Gmod's files and if any are missing and/or broken, it will redownload them and install it.

If that doesn't work...then go to the Garry's Mod game hub via the Steam client and see if others have the same issues or go to the Garry's Mod forum via the Steam Powered User Forums.

It also looks as if others are experiencing the same problems as well on the forums.
