In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

"Operation Game Over continues its aim of protecting children from -blam!- predators via online gaming networks"Good.
secual offenders =/= child rapists
I think cutting the threat in half is a good start.

I have never heard of anyone using xbox live to solicit minors. I think this is being done to hold less accountability for the parents.

I've heard people tell other people that they are going to "raape their families, and kill them". Pretty extreme but should they be banned for it?

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

How is this even becoming an argument?

Can someone give me an example of what an adult said to a minor over Xbox Live or PSN?

I think this basically acknowledges little kids play M rated games even though little kids can't buy M rated games. So how is it the government's job to monitor and control gaming because parents can't do it?

I have yet to hear of one example of a child meeting with an adult in real life because of xbox live.

No I think anyone who abuses a kid is the lowest form of scum but this doesn't make much sense in some ways.

If a game is rated M and someone buys it, then no one should be playing it who is under 18 also. if the parent buys the game, they are given their approval for their child to play that game. They are also told online is not rated.

You can't enforce online all the time and the government should not be the watchdog, that should be the parent's responsibility to monitor their child's online experience.

Again, this also points to the fact that ESRB is a joke and little kids are playing M games.

Also, if the offenders offence was not related to children or soliciting using a video game, I don't see the correlation to video games. (sex offender can be someone drunk peeing in an ally).

Hey guis what's goin on in this sig?

So they're going to ban the adults in an adult game to protect the children? Who the hell came up with that idea?

I don't think it has happened but I could be wrong.

  • 12.20.2012 5:32 PM PDT

Just one question. How are adults talking to kids when nobody who plays online has a mic?

Parents and government officials.

It is much easier for a parent to expect someone else to protect their children than them monitoring their children while they play with their "virtual nanny".

Parents should be the ones who monitor and protect their kids, there are also child safety options on consoles to protect minors that concerned parents can activate at any time.

If you have some free time and don't mind, please check out my Youtube channel, and maybe subscribe? I'd appreciate it.

The sex offenders, although despicable, have the right to play their video games online.

Although, Microsoft, despicable as well (;P) has the right to deny them their right to play video games online.

So it doesn't really matter in the end I guess, because it's all down to Microsoft.

I have a feeling the man in Louisiana with mental problems who used to stalk me through XBL is safe. I hope no one must suffer his wrath the way I did.
