World is going to end tomorrow, but why? Yeah the mayans ran out of room on the calendar, but what does that mean? What's the logic/resoning behind the world ending tomorrow.

I know everyone hates these threads already, but im not asking you what yorue doing, im asking you why its supposed to happen.

Tomorrow, a coronal mass ejection (CME) is going to ignite Earth's magnetic field, completely obliterating it, and scorch a quarter of the planet's surface. The damage done to the magnetic field will also leave Earth vulnerable to future solar storms.

I wanted to become a recognized member of the flood, then I took an arrow in the knee.

doesn't it have to do with the mayans predicting one of their gods returning or something?

"You get what you put into it."

When Legendary is too mainstream, you have Heroic. When you're the leader of the church of MLGeezus, have Epic in your username, and can't write 'About Me's' to save your life, what do you get?

This guy. And now, an side note: Most things I post contain lethal doses of sarcasm, so be warned, and try not to take me seriously.

Finally, a message to Bungie trolls everywhere.

Yes, but the Mayans were not in their time zones. Even knowing that I still don't believe the world will end.

The mayan calendar is cyclical. The misinterpretation of the calendar's meaning (Mayans knew when time would stop) was far more popular a concept than the mayans having a sophisticated way to keep track of time.

Even by the broken logic spoon fed into the public eye, the mayans have witnessed the end of the world several times.

EDIT: This could probably answer some of the questions you have regarding people's theories and reasoning. Although I only skimmed it.

The highest reward for a man's toil is not what he gets for it but what he becomes by it.

You and Nicolas Cage have fun with that one.

The Mayans calendar is ending. Big deal. It's like going into January without buying a January calendar.

How many times do I have to say this?

No
They
Didn't

It's the 14th cycle of 144,000 days, which was their calendar.

I apologize in advance for all the crappy jokes I make.

Because The History Channel needed more viewers, so they started giving shows to dumbasses saying stupid -blam!-.
