I caught all the Unknown so easily with normal pokeballs. How are they scary?

The Unknown.
Things that could potentially kill you are scarier than things you know will kill you? Tell me more.

Welcome.
You have just entered my mind. Please sign the contract before continuing further into this black hole to acknowledge I am not at fault if any mental/physical damage is caused to you whilst viewing my history. If any damage to yourself is caused, please call your whaambulance for advice.

Lets say you lived in a frequent earthquake area. Would you be more scared if you knew when it would hit or if you didn't know at all?

Take me into your heart! Accept me as your savior! Nail me to the -blam!- cross, and let me be reborn!

Unknown. You can prepare for inevitability somewhat.

Inevitability.

You can't avoid it and as it comes closer and closer you will worry more and more and be afraid.

With an unknown you don't know what will happen but always have that chance to survive. It's a matter of if you're willing to test that unknown.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

Neither one is particularly scary with a spoonful of reason and logic.

Unknown would definitely be more frightening in the vast majority of cases, but Inevitability has the potential to be incomparably worse.
