If a person is going to shoot up a place then the person is already mentally unstable. Video games does not cause people to become mentally unstable. Any sane person can tell the difference from doing something in a video game and doing it in real life. The only thing they might do is inspire an event. But the same can be said about anything else.
If people are claiming video games cause violence. Then they have to blame music, books, movies, society, history and everything else that involves humans and their nature.
