"Moooooooo"
-Ghost cow

I hoped for an at least decent campaign for Halo 4 and it turned out god-awful. Oh well.

My stats in Halol 4

Typical Waypoint post.
no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

Tie between Reach and Halo 4.

Halo Reach made some flat out dumb decisions with it's multiplayer and campaign direction that I know many people (Yes, more than two.) would agree with.

Halo 4 had the dumb decisions of Halo Reach to work with, but they still managed to repeat the same mistakes. That and the campaign made absolutely no sense to anybody that didn't read any books.

For me, Halo Reach the most disappointing Halo game. The beta was awesome, and Bungie hyped me up for it, but in the end I just wasted $150 for the worst Halo game that I've ever played.

Same with me OMARR! I really enjoyed the Beta.

I hope you realize that the Beta was actually worse than the release. The headshot hitbox was the size of a dime and the only maps in rotation were Sword Base and Powerhouse.

Why didn't Frodo just stick the ring up his ass?

Because Sam would keep turning invisible.

I played the Reach beta. I knew what to expect. Halo 4 was a disappointment from day one.

You look around. You fire your weapon before you realize.
Its just me. I fall and you walk up. You cry why.
When i pop up. You look at me in wonder. I say,"ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL."
You bend to my will and go to a cliff, walk off, and fall.
The last thing you hear is me stating as fact,"All will fail the battle of life, you just went early"

Reach.

If you clicked on here to ignore my coup, why? Do I look ugly to you? Do I look fat in this dress or what? Jerk.

Halo Reach. I hate H4 so much more - but I never expected anything from that in the first place. I thought I was going to be playing Reach as much as I played H3 but I hardly played it at all.

The Wonderful LeSieg!

For me it was Reach. While I eventually came around to liking it alright, the initial impression was kind of "Really? That's it?"

OP made excellent points about the disappointing lack of Spartan-II and IIIs being around to fight with. Apparently six people is all you need to prepare for the destruction of a planet.

Is mayonnaise a lotion?

Halo 4. Got it around a month ago and I'm already rather bored of it.

No u

Halo Reach, easily.

"When I joined the Corps, we didn't have any fancy-schmanzy tanks. We had sticks! Two sticks, and a rock for the whole platoon—and we had to share the rock!"

Halo Reach: I thought the campaign was going to be a lot different. The multi-player was what I expected. I loved forge. The DLCs were kinda disappointing (anniversary was awesome though.)

ooga booga boooh

Halo Reach for sure. I did not care much for the sandbox physics, nor did I care for the weaponry itself and default game play. Just a let down. I have yet to go near H4 yet.

Unsuccessfully trying to bring science and reason to The Flood...

For me it was H4.

I didn't have high expectations of Reach. From what I had seen of trailers and gameplay I thought it looked really bad, so I was actually pleasantly surprised. Yes, there were things that annoyed me, like the bloom, but looking at how much time I sunk into it, I cannot say it disappointed me, I enjoyed it thoroughly for a full 2 years.

Halo 4 however, was a massive disappointment. It was supposed to fix some of the problems Reach had, whilst returning Halo to its former glory. It did neither of these things, and after two weeks I stopped playing it. I never imagined I would ever put a Halo game down so quickly, usually it takes me 4+ months to gradually look elsewhere for something to play occasionally.

Halo 4 was a HUGE let down.

Halo 4 by a long shot.

343 were confident in reviving the series after Reach, but they failed. Big time.

I did really have any expectations but it's the only Halo game I don't like. So Halo 4.

  • 12.21.2012 11:21 AM PDT

Well, I already had low epectations for how Halo 4 would be, and it overall did better than expected, but it has proceeded to disappoint at every turn.

Rotational playlists?
Snipers gone after A WEEK? Are you kidding me, 343?
Spartan Ops on break? Oh, please, it's all on the disc.
Campaign sucked.
Multiplayer has been full of glitches.
Custom games are dead (particularly Infection).
No Theater for Campaign or Spartan Ops...

The list goes on.

Halo: Reach, however, was also a bit disappointing. Although, I had very high expectations for the game from the word go. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the game a lot. Heck, I got all the way to Inheritor. And really, the only reason why I stopped playing was because 343 butchered everything towards the end. The game just didn't feel...as epic as I'd hoped it to be, particularly the campaign. It was mostly up and down, but it's nowhere near as boring as Halo 4's.

All that said, I think the answer is Halo 4.

Just remember that no matter how terrible you feel, or how much you want to let go, there are people who care about you and love you.

lol Reach

  • 12.21.2012 11:29 AM PDT

A hero need not speak. When he is gone, the world will speak for him.

I guess it would be Reach because of the campaign. I expected something more like being in the front lines or meeting and fighting alongside other Spartans, not acting in the sidelines in secrecy.
