Alright, I have really liked the multiplayer levels Blood Gulch (Coagulation) and Battle Creek (Beaver Creek) in the Halo games... and playing them over and over, I couldn't help but notice the simlilarity not only in the level design (one red, one blue base, completely identical), but also the similarity of terrain... making me think, "Could these two levels be located near each other, or at least in the same area of Halo?"

So my proposition is this: For Halo 3, instead of improving on the two levels, why not combine them into one? I'll keep this short and leave it to you people to figure out how to incorporate this into gametypes, cuz I know I hate muddling through long posts... but this offers exciting possibilities... new meaning to "multi-flag"?

Anyways, what do you guys think?

-EDIT- Yo... how's it going?

-blam!- off and die. Bad, bad, bad, terrible, terrible, horrible, stupid, stupid, dumbass idea.

They have two different styles of gameplay. Coag is a huge open area meant to be played with lots of people.

Beaver/Battle Creek is a faced-paced, shoot-em-up blow-em-up type of map.

Mixing to two is not a good idea.

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

Blood Gulch and Battle Creek combined would be the same terrain as Gulch with a long creek/river in the middle. and the arch thing.

Wow, you actually gave me a great idea! A huge map. Two bases, each with their own smaller base! The smaller bases could be like lookout towers; with singular or multiple turrets and maybe a sniper rifle. The main bases could have a stock of rifles/other guns and vehicles. The bases could be linked through portals and or destructable bridges...

Seriously, this is a great idea you have! LOADS of potential!

Yea, see man that's what I'm talking about... in addition to the two bigger bases in Blood Gulch, you can have the two bases from Battle Creek as auxiliary bases... maybe farther out near the middle ground, used as a first line of defense...

This idea lends itself to numerous other ideas, that's why I posted it... I just felt that the avenue of combining two older levels together had never been discussed in the forums.

Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts, absolutely.

Or they could make a river run through the middle of Coagulation...

Just a thought.

I see it working. Imagine there is a top cliff. Left and right. To get to one side, you must cross through the rock arc. There is a river just below and the map layout below is somewhat similar to coagulation. However the bases are like beaver creak and it may have that sort of underground thing like battle creek. Sounds VERY good to me =]
