Wow that certainly had everybody fooled

A Canadian animation college has revealed its students created a video which appeared to show a Golden Eagle snatching a baby.

It was made by students of Montreal's Centre NAD, as part of their work towards a degree in 3D Animation and Digital Design.

So.....

How many people feel like an idiot right now for thinking that was real? Also if college students can do something like that what other video's could be exactly the same.

Thoughts? Do you feel like an idiot for thinking it was real?

So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.

I knew it was fake. They did a good job though.

I knew it was a hoax, I'm a falconer. Birds of prey rarely attack their prey with stuff like humans around, not to mention when they strike they usually just pin their prey down and kill them, not fly away unless the prey they have is light enough, but Golden Eagles only reach a top 20 pounds (which is pretty rare), which the kid was probably over that weight. Not to mention they don't strike down like that like a hoop and swoop, they go down like a missile way much faster to pin their prey down.

Life will always find a new way to ruin everything you know, enjoy the moments of peace to their fullest and prepare yourself for the lemons that are heading your way and you might just make it.

I only first saw it the other day, and I thought it was legit. They made it look real!

I wonder why they didn't make it look like the eagle actually flew away with it. That would have been more entertaining especially considering how many people thought it was real.

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

I thought it was real. I saw some videos yesterday after hearing it was fake and when its slowed down and zoomed its alot more obvious, the eagles shadow comes in pretty late. On its own it looks real though.

The Wonderful LeSieg!

I do feel like an idiot for having believed it, yes.

Now is being a falconer a hobby or a job? Either way, that's an insanely awesome way of spending your time.

"When I joined the Corps, we didn't have any fancy-schmanzy tanks. We had sticks! Two sticks, and a rock for the whole platoon—and we had to share the rock!"

-Sgt. Johnson

I believed it at first, but then when people said it wasn't real I agreed.

  • 12.21.2012 10:48 AM PDT
