I know, right?
Jay acts like she's better than everyone else simply because she's a chick.
I hope she chokes to death.

Weak minded pea brains care if other people know who they are.

I've been to countries before where I got a lot of attention for being tall and white. It just made me want to hit people after awhile.
Yesterday, I was stopped by people in three different stores who apparently thought my Australian accent was just the single coolest thing ever. The guy at GameStop tried to get me to do some traditional LOTR Elvish greeting, the girl at Hot Topic insisted on bombarding me with questions about the differences between back home and over here, and two very friendly gentlemen working at Walmart had a bunch of enquiries about why I was in Louisiana and whether or not I planned to stay.

Nice people, but it did make me feel a bit like a circus animal after a while.

I want to be someone who causes historical events to happen without anyone knowing who I was. Like an assassin.

I thought that I was the only one who had these same situations. My family is Russian, and when I speak, people love to hear me talk. It's weird.

I've had people tell me they can't focus on what I'm saying because of how fascinating they find my accent.

When I switch to a decent approximation of a very bland, region-free American accent, they tell me they can't focus on what I'm saying because of how good my American accent is. :P

Can't win.

I would like to be infamous slightly as I just don't want to be an absolute nobody who did nothing in life which is whats happening at this point in time..

That's kind of funny. I've never heard that one before. American accent too good.

My boyfriend is American and we've been together about a year and a half now. I have a good ear for accents, so it's pretty easy for me to imitate one if I've been around it long enough. I do it without realising when I'm in line at McDonald's all the time, actually. :P

''Hell is other people.''

I'd rather be unknown. So far, having people not hating me is working out pretty well.

ooga booga boooh

I don't exactly need social justification from other people whom I do not know to be happy, or anything, really. I'm content with being relatively unknown.

Unless we aren't talking about the real world and just the internet. Infamous, but who really has a choice here?

I think the only internet famous person who didn't choose their fame was the kid who left the "I am 10 and what is this" comment. Most people, I'd say, alter their personalities to gain internet notoriety. We need look no farther than B.net for that one.

Youtube sensations through promotion and the nature of the site itself, and anyone who acts in some manner is sure to become internet famous in some way. Is that a fair statement?

Simple way of putting it, it's however people like to choose to recognize you.

I prefer being unknown.

Maybe just me, but I prefer being blended into a crowd rather than put into the spotlight (positive or negative)

It's not that people have trouble understanding me (though they do sometimes, much more so than I've ever had understanding an American, to be sure) - it's just that they think my accent is an exciting novelty.

I personally hardly ever have any trouble understanding people with accents, no matter where they're from. But then, my father is Pakistani, my mother is Turkish, my boyfriend is American, some of my good friends live in the UK and Europe, and I work at a school where many of the students are refugees from sub-Saharan African nations. So I guess it comes down to what you're used to.

I'm Lebanese and can speak Arabic just fine but you can't tell that when I speak English. Does your dad have a mix of Pakistani and Australian accent?

I wish I knew Arabic. :( I've read the Qur'an in Arabic but I can't understand it - I just know how to read the alphabet.

My dad has a pretty strong Pakistani accent, though he was educated at English-speaking schools in his home country, and my mother has a very faint Turkish one. I was born and raised in Australia and both my parents spoke English at home, so I don't really have an accent at all. If anything, my accent is faintly English because of all the TV I watch. :P
