Oh really? Please feel free to show me one conclusive study that shows that video games lead to violence, let alone murder.

There is plenty of case literature that links violent video games and aggressive tendencies brah.

You guys remember a few days back when that member posted a link to a study that linked video games to increased aggression in teens and kids? That was -blam!- hilarious watching you nerds flip -blam!- over your precious video games. Go outside virgins.
I have the feeling that you might be slightly angry or insecure.

I am the God Emprah of Mankind.

Deal with it.

Do we need to go through this again?

You can have a kid play all the video games he wants, then hand him a rifle. If he starts killing everyone within sight, then they would be right. But that's not what happens.

Even if there was, (which I doubt there is), the fact of the matter is that the majority of video game players are NOT violent. Therefore the reaction is in an incredible minority of the video-game-playing population and becomes a nonissue.

"Tendencies". People with violent "tendencies" will obviously be drawn towards interests capitalising on simulated violence. Besides, most orchestrators of massacres actually had more linked interests in violent novels, particularly those of Stephen King. Violent games were actually the lowest percentage with both violent novels and movies rating more than double the percentage in interest each. Guess we should ban every form of violent media and live in a state of emotional equilibrium, huh?

We need to start and anti-press movement. Its truly is them who causes this, and the gaming community needs to stand instead of be blamed.

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

It's the scapegoat being used by those who mainly profit from loose gun regulation. The logical rebuttal to this excuse is that the widely criticized violent video games popular in America are also hugely popular in Canada, Europe, and even Japan yet you don't see the horrific levels of gun violence Americans have become use to in these places.

Why should I care that kids are throwing away their violent videogames?

It's a good thing, less kids playing games they shouldn't play.

Brainwashing, idiotic media: "hur dur, vido gaems cas vilenc n iz nt gud. dey ned 2 b baned."

Logic: Really? Then please explain how there's violence in third world countries. I guess they're all poor due to the large amount of video games they buy.

CNN is really annoying.

Lol, you just figured that out? I use local news stations, Dateline, World News with Diana Sawyer, and BBC.

Of course, CNN is a tad better than Fox.

I started paying halo when I was ~11 and I, nor anyone I know who started playing FPSs at the exact same time am/is violent at all. I have no idea why anyone would legitimately hold this opinion.

From up here the city lights burn like a thousand miles of fire

videogames can infact cause people to get angry and rage for a short period of time, but it dosent make them mentally unstable and or a psychopath

I like how all the people who oppose games and think this have probably never played a single game they're condemning.

What it amounts to is they don't want to amount up to their mistakes because it will cost them and come out of their pocket to fund mental facilities and employees. So, the best alternative for them is to blame video games for the violence.

It's really sad and evil to be honest. Everybody should amount up to their mistakes and stop blaming -blam!- on other people.

I see where you are coming from, but it can't be blamed for mass murder. It causes some levels of desensitization, but video games are not to be blamed for this. People prescribe to mob mentality, imitate their surroundings, and have a natural predisposition towards innate acts of violence. It is complete mental instability that causes someone to lose control of themselves like that and complete such heinous acts of violence.

Video games alone are not to be blamed for anything beyond violence. Extremely bad parenting, being surrounded by "real world" violence, and total mental instability with access to guns and weaponry are to blame.
