But they are. ESRB is a joke, and if parents really want to protect their kids, they are going to have to start informing themselves.

I'm afraid that it'll stick this time because of the fact that it was children that were murdered.

no they aren't it's the retarded parents' fault for actually buying it for them it isn't the code's fault if your bad parenting allowed your kids to play the code.

just like the gun control controversy, you can load, -blam!- a gun and set it down. If you watch that gun for 15 years it will never get up and go shoot some one.

I dont understand why they only blame video games, but not movies or any other form of entertainment. While i can agree some video games can be unnecessarily violent, it doesn't make people murderers. Same with movies

Video games are interactive and let you "become" the killer. That's not the case with movies. You don't see a movie through the main character's eyes.

But the fact that they've gone out and killed some one shows that they were already mentally unstable.

In real life, if some one goes out and commits mass killing that shows that they are mentally unstable. Could there be variables in their life that could make it worse yeah sure, ex: bad family, traumatic experiences in early childhood that were poorly dealt with, ect. but if said person goews out and kills some one they were already mentally unstable.
