Terrible moderation, insane amounts of casuals, more flames than a forest fire, etc.

There are enough casuals too form an undead army for the gravemind in that forum.

Most people there are Players who picked up Halo at Reach and it shows.

I didn't realize discovering Halo at Reach meant you're bad or casual. Doesn't everyone have to start from somewhere?

Some of us started on halo ce playing xbc on lag that would make you tear your eyes out. Then a bunch of christmas kids get 4 and like to post their opinions about how they think a gun should be nerfed because they get killed by it a lot. It is frustrating as hell.

Goat was famous. Irie was infamous. Gh0st was FaMaS.

My stats in Halol 4

Typical Waypoint post.
no it's "its got to go" you wouldn't say the "it is got to go" would you?

In all seriousness, the Waypoint fanbase has a far different vision of "Halo" than what I have in my mind, and as such, I find little reason to associate with people that think a tornado gun would be "cool" in Halo.

I doubt you go on Waypoint anyways, you hate the game. Why would you go on it?[/quote]
Yeah totally, I mean, those 600 some odd posts I have there just came out of no where.

It's because 99% of the time people have been banned it's for insulting others, or flaming. I've never ever seen someone get banned for politely giving suggestions and criticisms in a civilized way.

In other words you are saying people can't be negative at all towards how they view the game. See that is the thing people can harshly criticize pretty much any of the Halos on here without getting banned. On the Waypoint forums you have to state it in a polite way pretty much saying it isn't 343i's fault when it is. Even the thread you linked is an example of pointing out flaws in a nice way to avoid getting banned. Essentially the Waypoint forums are more or less a place where you can't be negative which is a childish thing to say the in least.

That is 500 times where you decided to be a hypocrite. The only thing worse than fanboys are the people who complain about them and then continue to associate with them.

It does. Halo Reach and Halo 4 are very similar in gameplay it means you really haven't played Halo at all. Then it also means you probably have only played around 2 years worth of games or are relatively new. In other words your opinion at that point is very juvenile.

From the way your typing it sounds like you assume Halos the only multiplayer game on the xbox and what if someone played on PS3 for years and just recently got an xbox?

You can criticize the game as much as you want, you just need to do it in a civilized manner. It isn't like Bungie where you can pretty much say whatever you want, and you'll just have to accept that.

While I'm skeptical if you really posted as civilized as you just did now, if you are genuine than that's a bad experience and I'm sorry it happened to you. I guarantee it won't happen now though.

So in other words you are fine with inconsistent mods banning people?

600 posts is 599 posts too many. But if you don't go there anymore then that's a start. I was more referencing the nerds who -blam!- all day and continue to post on sites they hate and play games they hate.

I know that my statement assumes a lot, but a decent portion of it does apply to a lot of new gamers. Sure there are some that have gamed for years on another console, but that doesn't make up the bulk of new people.

I'm sorry, but what planet do you live on? I thought that Halo 4 was rated "M" for Mature? Surely the forum team can take having people that weren't raised in a palace commenting on their game.

This.
Layout sucks balls. The forum layout in terms of when someone new posts doesn't jump like on Bnet (or maybe it does. hasn't when I was on there).

The list of fails go on.

I don't see you complaining about Bungie...the game has always been rated M and we can't ever swear here. I'm sorry you aren't allowed to constantly spam "343 is -blam!- retarded over there, they killed Halo" over there like you can here.

Have you read any of the complaint threads at Waypoint? You should, it's nothing like what you just said.

Here is the difference between Bungie and Waypoint. You could criticize Bungie for their mistakes while on 343i you can't. If you say something negative about them you will be banned even if it is entirely their fault and it should be fixed. Bungie would at least listen to their community and accept their mistakes like adults. The Waypoint version of "civilized" is really the child version which can't handle being told "you messed up."

You can't swear because there are 13 year olds on here, but the mods are all adults and act like it for the most part. The Waypoint mods on the other hand are for the most part immature.

The moderation team is just horrible! That's my main problem

Proof please. Everyone says this, and how they get "unfairly banned", but they always had a good reason for getting banned.

Got banned for calling someone's opinion one the most ridiculous things I've read on the forums. Want the link? Look for it in a thread somewhere around here. I disagreed with his opinion, nothing more nothing less. I've been to a lot of forums and have never gotten banned for such a stupid thing. What makes it even more funny is that the blind halo fans (I use that term loosely) can flame and even personal attack people all they want and not receive warnings. I refuse to go to the site except checking on stats, but look through some of the older critical treads if you don't believe me.

I can 100% say that the halo waypoint moderation team is the worst moderation team I have ever experienced.

Wth are they paying you to say this bs? Waypoint forum is terrible. You can't even participate in any sort of discussion without getting banned. Why do you think people -blam!- on here all day instead?

An incredibly childish hyperbole, but I'll take it on.

No, Bungie has made many decisions regarding their franchise which I disagree with strongly, mainly the inclusion of Armor Abilities and bloom in Halo Reach. As far as I can tell, you can't spam "Durr Bugnie is -blam!- retarded dey killed Halo" here either. Or at least, you can't make a topic about it. See, there's something that the moderators at the Waypoint forums have yet to learn. Tolerance. They need to tolerate the fact that there are going to be outspoken members of the fanbase. Instead, they stifle discussion by outright denying people means of communication in a manner that is illogical and confusing.

343 industries itself has also shown a complete disregard for their community; I do believe that someone said that no 343i employee ever posts in Waypoint, only on Neogaf and their own website, which is puzzling considering that the only game that 343's released is Halo 4. Relating to that disregard to the community would be the Crimson Map Pack, which was retracted with no prior hints as to what happened, not to mention apparent bans on users. I mean, Xbox Live's support team tweeted out "It's on us."

But let's ignore that. Let's ignore the narrow minded community and moderators. Let's ignore the questionable business practices exercised by 343 Industries. Let's ignore all of that and think of what's really offered there. Stats and a forum about Halo and Halo related topics. Not exactly a broad range of discussion. Say what you want about the Flood (I know I've said a lot of less than pleasant things.) it at least provides multiple topics of discussion. On Waypoint? I see multiple topics, usually about the same thing. What is there to discuss when everybody is just discussing one thing? The answer? Well, I think you get it.

You misunderstood my statement. The first 2 criticize issues within the game not 343i. The last one is a plea to have 343i listen to them not a criticism of 343i. The thing is the second one is probably the closest to what I mean, but it is worded in a way that avoids getting banned by using rhetorical questions for the most part. None of those put the blame on 343i for the problems within the game. Sure they talk or address them, but there is no blame going on only pleas for it to be fixed. Essentially there really isn't a discussion about the games flaws in relation to 343i or even in a negative way.

Because you can be an ass as long as you defend Halo 4. But you can't be an ass to the person being an ass. It's either you elegantly state why you disagree with someone, or be a dick as long as you kiss ass.

Also, (and dont ask me for link cause im not allowed to read my messages cause im permabanned) I got banned about 3 times for calling someone dumb, an idiot, and ignorant. All in relation to someone blindly defending something before games release when NO ONE could even tell if it was a good decision or not. While more than one person did the same thing...but guess what? they were all defending Halo 4 and they didnt even get their post blocked or whatever.
