How about the additional facts that the devs lied about features and that the game absolutely sucks when it comes to animations, combat, atmosphere, feel, and a slew of other things?

In the OP's eyes none of that matters because it is still somehow a good alpha.
Yes. I bought the game for 10$ and had as much fun as back in the Minecraft alpha.
And I don't think "animations, combat, atmosphere, feel, and a slew of other things" are bad.

OP, could you list some pros and cons for the gameplay mechanics?

From your own experience of course.
Pros:
- Accurate aiming and movement, comparable to CoD4
- Zombies are a challenge if you make mistakes.
- Combat against bandits gives you an adrenaline rush and can be very tactical.
- Game encourages you to hit the head. Spamming shots on zombie or bandit won't do much.

Cons:
- You can be eaten by zombies while you are in the loading screen. Can be easily side-stepped if you just log out/in somewhere safe though.
- Weapons are not rare enough. I have found enough to equip every character (5) with a rifle, 2 pistols and a hammer.
- You can easily glitch up buildings
- Not much to do. Something I already criticized in DayZ. Future updates promise more though.
that would be an acceptable list, were the game's textures not from the PS2, and if the company didn't advertise for a metric asstonne of other features not currently in game.

Nope. I got banned from the game for posting my review on their forums... They simply cant take a criticizer.

From what I heard steam is accepting refunds so assuming you bought it there I would imagine you could just get a refund.
I bought it late in the summer for that Alpha access. No Steam release then.

Well, a majority of you guys know my thoughts. I am done talking about this game, deleted it and moving on.

Did you get a refund?

The forums are full of suggestion-threads. When you make constructive suggestions in the proper forum section, you are not banned. I am doing that for quite some time now.

That sucks, but at least you got to do a review of it.

I did that too. I did not stomp a mortar hole into it with my review like I should have done. I brought up legit points that happened during my play time. Then I get s**t end of the stick.

Advertising does not alter the games' actual quality and even though I agree the textures are bad, they don't change the quality either.
If that would be a factor, H2 and every game released before that would also be bad.

You really can't use old games to justify how news ones look. Halo 2 looked good for its time War Z on the other hand doesn't.

It doesn't look good, but it plays good. Same goes for millions of WoW, LoL or Minecraft players.

The graphics are acceptable.

You sure about it playing well?

Of course it doesn't play well if you are sprinting into one of the most populated areas and randomly run at people and punch them. You could play every game like that: Run into the enemies like a moron, die and yell around how bad the game is.

That is not the spirit of the game. It can be fun if you sneak around the city, see a survivor on the street and set a trap for him. But if you just run at him laughing like an idiot sure you won't have fun.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

One of the items of interest that makes me want to choose War Z over Day Z is the zombie factor. In Day Z, humans seem to be the biggest threat and zombie encounters are either scarce, or you aren't fighting too many at a time. In War Z, if you aren't quick to deal with the scenario or remaining stealth, one zombie can turn into many. For me, this is a core mechanic behind a would-be zombie game. But of course, this is just my personal preference. Personally, I look forward to the finalized War Z :)
