I found this image, detailing a bunch of different races available for a forum RP, while browsing the web a few days ago, and have been dying to get a game started ever since. There aren't many rules, and it's pretty simple to get the hang of, here's the basic idea:
1) Select a race from the image provided. After we get at least six players, we'll begin.
2) At the start of the game, each player will select two actions to perform for that turn, indicated by bold text. An action can consist of anything you can imagine, and won't be restricted much. (Examples: "Research better agriculture techniques", "Build a city wall", and "Invade X territory".) The only thing I ask is that you don't suggest something like "Research nukes" immediately after the game begins. Imagine that there's a leveling, and progression system.
3) There is no order in which players must lock in their actions, but we won't proceed until everyone does.
4) After all actions are locked in for a turn, the GM (likely me) will type up a summary of each player's actions, and how they've affected the player's stats.
5) After the summary is posted, play resumes.
Simple, yes? It's almost as if you're playing a text-based version of a "Sid Meirs' Civilization" game. If you're interested, post here reserving your preferred race! And if, by chance, all slots are filled and more people want to play, you can co-run a race, or recruit advisers to your cause. I hope you all like the idea!
