Most good artists charge an hourly rate for their work, usually between $50-$150 per hour. This of course can be higher or lower, and depends on a lot of things like location (of the shop, not the tattoo itself, but some areas will cost more because of the difficulty of tattooing them), materials, etc.
For something with a lot of fine detail, like the branches on the tree, that make take a little more time.
A friendly warning though. If you get a tattoo done in all black, be sure to take extra good care of it. ALL tattoos must be properly cared for during the healing period (about two weeks on average, but depends on the person of course) but tattoos with large sections of nothing but black ink tend to scab easily. If it's not done well and carefully healed, it can end up looking blotchy. Just something to consider. If you do get that tattoo, I would suggest asking the artist beforehand if they offer free or discounted touch ups on recent work that heals poorly.
