Subject: Do you care if people like/dislike you?

I know, right?
Jay acts like she's better than everyone else simply because she's a chick.
I hope she chokes to death.

I'm obviously happy when people like me - I think most people are - but honestly, I'm kind of happy when people dislike me, too, depending on who they are. See, I think you can tell a lot about a person's character not just by the friends they keep, but also by their enemies. When the people who dislike me are people I wouldn't want to associate with in any case, I figure I'm probably staying true to my own principles. It's when people I don't like start liking me that I start to wonder what I'm doing wrong.

What do you think, Flood? Have you ever been strongly, openly disliked by anyone? How did you take it?

I'm happy when people like me, but when people dislike me I don't really care.
As, you know.
Haters gonna hate.

I used to really be obsessed with it, I'm starting to try to care less.

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

I'm happy when people like me, and I feel bad when people dislike me. It's something I'm not very proud of. I'm fine with receiving criticism and insults, but I feel bad about it even if it's unjustified.

Deep down, I want people to like me.

Honestly, yes. More people liking you is networking, my friend.

I only care what people think about me on rare occasions.

Right before you die, there is always a chance to save yourself, sieze that chance and live to fight another day
The best way to kill someone is to fight them with the same weapons they use and make them know you are better than them, not because of superior weaponry, but because of superior skill.

she/he does not correct format sentences, therefore for intelligent matured members of society that may interact with her/him, may find her/him UNattractive for the reason that she/he does not comprehend with their level to successfully have a conversation therefore it will be socially an awkward interaction which may be wanted to be avoided

second i do not find it physically possible for a PERSON to be a ice cream truck.

Not online, anonymity and all that. Real life, I can't stand the thought on being disliked or looked at as a failure to others.

Not even remotely. The people who don't like me IRL are usually mad because I end up making them look stupid after an argument.
So, how's the end of the world treating you Rose?

Signatures are for little kids.

No, don't care at all.

I work in psychiatry, some people are never going to like you no matter what.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

Yes. I care when people like or dislike me. Will it effect the way I behave around them? Yes. Will it sway my course of action? Yes. Is it the most important thing? Sometimes.

Why? Because half of what makes the world work is human interaction, and if people don't like you, they aren't going to interact with you as fairly or reasonably as they would if they did.

It's simple. Why would you not want someone to like you? Unless it's a special circumstance, being disliked by someone is completely useless, while being liked by someone has benefits.

I care when people like me. It's a good feeling. I don't care when people dislike me for the dumbest reasons. They can just -blam!- off.

Not exactly. Plenty of people will judge others by those with whom they associate. It can do you plenty of good in terms of social standing to be disliked by [insert undesirable group here].

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Don't like me? I don't care.
Like me? I'm cool with that.

If we disagree, it's nothing personal, opinions are opinions.
Antagonizing me to build a false sense of worth is so damn cute.

I do make a lot of threads.

That's an understatement.

OT:Yes, somewhat, but I find it hard to please everyone and I don't care enough to. If they dislike me as a person for some irrational reason, I don't see much incentive to change. People I'm close to are content with me and that gives me enough insurance.

I never give a reason for people to dislike me. I'm always friendly and approachable. If I do something that puts people off it wasn't my intention. But someone people are just down right hateful and I avoid them big time.

I want to say it depends on the person and why they don't like me but it ultimately doesn't matter.
