Subject: What was so bad about Reach?

So I understand it wasn't a good Halo game, unbalanced, Armor Lock, AA's in general. People throw it around like it's as bad as Big Rigs. It's not that good of a Halo game but it wasn't a bad game.

OT: Apparently the character development is shallow, bloom is bad, and AAs break the game.

Character development was great if you paid attention to the storyline.

I had fun with it, but prefer Halo 3 & 4 more.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

No it will never be as bad as Big rigs. Just no. Whoever says it is, is just trying to exaggerate their hate for it. I find it funny that these people hate it yet they played until they were an inheritor. Most confusing thing I have seen.

Still their thoughts on why it was bad were correct. AAs, and bloom broke the game. I think Bungie should have made AAs a pickup and instead only have bloom on automatic weapons. They should have had the DMR a 7 shot weapon or bump some of the weapons to be more powerful.

The Snow Leopard's wisdom includes: Understanding one's shadow-side; trusting one's inner-self; agility; strength; the ability to stalk; understanding the power of silence.

It wasn't as competitive as it should've been, and people let themselves get over-hyped, so they were disappointed.

This thread again.

Anyway, fantastic campaign, among Bungie's best. Looked great and did well audio wise. AAs were fine and bloom was alright.

Maps were a bit of let down and I didn't like some of the sandbox changes. Was hoping for more focus on the customs experience.

It was so bad that I rarely played it whereas Halo 4 looks good but when I start playing it for a long time, it becomes bad.

Bungie doesn't like French on their site.

Bloom.

Vote for me for a free cookie.

The Campaign
-Dull characters
-No storyline until The Package
-Horrible AI
-Noble 6 was a dying fest

Multiplayer
-Copy/paste maps off the Campaign
-Bloom

Not saying it was a horrible game, but it had a lot of flaws.

It had a few issues (I won't mention them because they have all been posted already) but I really thought Halo Reach was an awesome game. It has that Bungie polish.

i wonder why people dont know that they were multiplayer made, then put into campaign. not the other way around.

Also, Bungie didn't have the 100% Halo passion they did with CE-ODST.

It kinda impresses me that they can still make games eons ahead of the other main stage games without their full passion.

This is at least what I think

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

Meh, the story isn't bad if you know that it is just an in-universe reconstruction of what was thought to have happened on Reach.

The Legendary Edition came with a paper saying the game was a reconstruction of the events that occurred on Reach, ie not 100% accurate and essentially what was believed to have happened.

Be sure to tell everyone how cool you are. If you don't tell them, they won't know.

Though many will disagree, I think it is the superior halo experience. Next to H1 that is.

I will say Reach made me less angry than H4 does.

you disregarded my last sentence why?

But I think because
A)they already stated they thought about making Halo 4. Why make a game about a planet we already know what happened to it? its really just fan fiction.

B) they reeeally changed up the formula. Im not saying they didnt have 100% passion of putting out a terrific game like they always try to.

They focused on great music, great voice acting, and great story telling instead of expanding the halo universe. They wanted to make an awesome game. Not an awesome Halo game.
