Though many will disagree, I think it is the superior halo experience. Next to H1 that is.

I will say Reach made me less angry than H4 does.

Campaign wise I'd have to agree. Top tier in the series. Multiplayer, eh... Not quite.

Also, Bungie didn't have the 100% Halo passion they did with CE-ODST.
And you know this how?

you disregarded my last sentence why?

But I think because
A)they already stated they thought about making Halo 4. Why make a game about a planet we already know what happened to it? its really just fan fiction.

B) they reeeally changed up the formula. Im not saying they didnt have 100% passion of putting out a terrific game like they always try to.

They focused on great music, great voice acting, and great story telling instead of expanding the halo universe. They wanted to make an awesome game. Not an awesome Halo game.
I disregarded everything else you said in that post, because I want to focus on this. Try and make my point. Everything else you said was irrelevant.

I don't understand your first point. Are we talking about Reach, or Halo 4 now?

By reeeally, do you mean evolve the game? They had to have passion to do that. To keep the game going, to make it different than past Halo titles.

It kinda impresses me that they can still make games eons ahead of the other main stage games without their full passion.

This is at least what I think

Meh, the story isn't bad if you know that it is just an in-universe reconstruction of what was thought to have happened on Reach.

The Legendary Edition came with a paper saying the game was a reconstruction of the events that occurred on Reach, ie not 100% accurate and essentially what was believed to have happened.

Be sure to tell everyone how cool you are. If you don't tell them, they won't know.

I was actually talking about Multiplayer heehaw. I don't know, I liked all the campaigns (except for H2), but campaign isn't really the reason I buy games.

Halo was always distinguished as the Master Chiefs story. I mean, you can't really deny that. Im saying why would they choose to create a game based off of fan fiction and create these completely new characters instead of progress the main characters story?

Yeah they evolved the game. they brought in really cool ideas to freshen up the gameplay. forge world. invasion. AA's. but thats exactly my point. They obviously felt like they had to change it.

like i said, they still had the drive to create an awesome game in which they succeeded. But with it being their last Halo game they didn't have the drive to expand Halo. Just the gameplay.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

OT: Apparently the character development is shallow, bloom is bad, and AAs break the game.

Jorge has some character and that's exactly why people say his death was emotional. He called someone mom and someplace home. And his "Don't deny me this" line was so good powerful.

The other Spartans were generic archetypes. The badass with the skull, golden boy Carter, tech chick, sniper. It would have been better to cut the size of the squad. The skull guy and Juan could have been one character.

And it'd have been better if it tied more into CE.

The ending to Halo 3 was perfect. Honestly. I completely agree with Bungies decision to move on from MC and his story arc. It was over and done with. The trilogy started with MC in cryo, and ended with him in cryo. The planet signified that Chiefs adventures were not over yet.

But my original point is that you saying that Bungie didn't have the same passion they did as CE-ODST. And who are you to say they didn't have the drive to expand Halo? They did. They gave Reach more backstory, the SIIIs more backstory, Halsey, Cortana, and more. While Bungie took most of their stuff ingame from Nylund, they still made it their own in a way,

I wouldn't say it was a bad game, but in my opinion, it wreaked of mediocrity for a Halo game.

Kind of feel the same way about Halo 4 so far as well. :/

It's not that the games are mediocre. The best Halo game you'll play is the first Halo game you play. Think of it kinda like this: The first piece of chocolate you eat is the best. The tenth chocolate doesn't taste nearly as good.

The 3's and Halsey already had a lot of back story. They didn't really give Reach anymore story other than it's being rebuilt after everythings done with. What I'm saying is that all it seemed like they wanted to do with Reach was add cool ideas and random stories. Like Cortana. That came out of nowhere. They didnt really expand anything. Just added to existing plots.

Alright, I see where you're coming from. I agree that they took an already existing story, and added more to it. But the Noble team had no backstory prior to Reach (the game), and therefore was new. That wasn't added on (in the sense of characters. They added it into the planet).

I didn't say it was a bad game, I was just saying that I personally felt it was mediocre for a Halo game. Halo 3 was my first Halo game, and though I would say it was my favorite multiplayer (never played Halo 2's), I would also have to say I enjoyed Halo CE's and Halo 2's Campaign more than Halo 3's.

the only thing I disliked was that the friendly AIs were terrible, (like they would drive you off a cliff if you let them drive, but wouldn't shoot anything until point blank and surrounded while gunning, or shotty sniping/sniper shotgunning, or not running from the grav hammer wielding chieftain), whilst comparatively the enemy AI had the reflexes and skills(and on legendary, power) of an elite commando cyborg ninja with god hacks. like they would trap you in a corner with concussion rifles and instantly jump out of site the second you land a shot on them, or dodge stickies from point blank.

Too much parentheses and too little spacing.

Anyway, dumb friendlies, it is a Halo staple.

sorry, its 3 in the morning here. My brain isn't allowing me to coherently convey what I'm trying to say.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I could play Halo 1, 2, 3 for hours with friends, I would play Reach for an hour with nothing but frustration and my friends hated it.

I don't have to come up with reasons, I just hated it and so did my friends.

Honestly my only major issues with Reach were Paradiso, the Banshee and the Sniper Rifle. Paradiso was badly designed, the Banshee and Sniper insanely overpowered.

But really, compared to H4, Reach is great. Balanced, well-thought out, bug-free and full of options and variety.

Hi there! be sure to click that homepage link!

It's certainly better than Halo 4's gameplay.

I'm joking, but I must say I adapted to Reach's gameplay style 10 times as quick with Halo 4. I mean, every time Haven pops up, it's a votestorm for it, regardless of whether or not it's a good map or it is the worst map to play for the game type, people still voted for it, and I just can't get my head round it. However, people are starting to learn their lesson and vote for a wider map like complex or CQC with adrift for flood, those kinds of things.

...And then H4 came out. Just when you didn't think a Halo game could get any worse.
