it's not a child's fairy tale even if he did originally write it for his kids. ye it is
the only time it starts to get 2deep4children is near the end.
The whole book is deep.
What does a child know about taking or not taking a life?That's early on in the book.
A child can read that, but only some people will truly understand it.Yeah but there are lots of little things like that in children's books/movies/tv shows. They're still childish things.
The Hobbit isn't a "childrens book" in the sense that, say, Harry Potter is or Where the Wild Things Are is; but it's undoubtedly light-hearted and childish.
I agree, but Riddles in the Dark wasn't a scene to mess with.
