The other thing I forgot to mention is the way the guilds are set up. I start out at the lowest rank something happens and I become the leader of it. No matter how experienced the other people there are or how long they been there. I still end up becoming the leader of it. That would be like me join the army. I start out as a private a war breaks out and at the end of it I become a 4 star general. Even though there are officers there that are a higher rank than me and are more experienced than me. I still become that general.
The other thing about the guilds is that my character sucks at magic. So why the hell would he become the leader of that magic school when everybody there is better than him? It's because I found a magic ball and killed that High Elf guy.
THIS. They've had to fix problems with the guilds for quite a while. From a gameplay perspective, in both Oblivion and Skyrim, there's no reason to make more than one character, because you can pretty much do EVERYTHING on any character. It's irritating.
It also annoyed me that the Werewolf was tied into the Companions questline. Again, from a gameplay-perspective, there's no reason NOT to become a Werewolf; there's no drawbacks to it like there were in Morrowind. You also get an immunity to diseases rather early-on with the Werewolf, which makes a part of the game vanish on most characters. There's no need to have any cure disease potions, or anything.
I just...I want Bethesda to make a game as good as or better than Morrowind, but I don't think it's ever going to happen. I still believe they have it in them, but...I don't know.
If TESVI is like Skyrim and Oblivion, I might drop the Elder Scrolls series for good. Oh, and I'm hoping for either Elsweyr, Summerset Isles, or Black Marsh for the next game.
Why are you people so hellbent on game features having drawbacks?
I'm glad there's no drawbacks to being a Werewolf, it's fun. The only thing they need to do is add a combo system for sword play and larger, more challenging battles.
