The other thing I forgot to mention is the way the guilds are set up. I start out at the lowest rank something happens and I become the leader of it. No matter how experienced the other people there are or how long they been there. I still end up becoming the leader of it. That would be like me join the army. I start out as a private a war breaks out and at the end of it I become a 4 star general. Even though there are officers there that are a higher rank than me and are more experienced than me. I still become that general.

The other thing about the guilds is that my character sucks at magic. So why the hell would he become the leader of that magic school when everybody there is better than him? It's because I found a magic ball and killed that High Elf guy.

You end up becoming the leader because you're the only one with enough balls to take on the antagonist.

It's a game, of course you do things other characters can't, otherwise it'd be boring.

THIS. They've had to fix problems with the guilds for quite a while. From a gameplay perspective, in both Oblivion and Skyrim, there's no reason to make more than one character, because you can pretty much do EVERYTHING on any character. It's irritating.

It also annoyed me that the Werewolf was tied into the Companions questline. Again, from a gameplay-perspective, there's no reason NOT to become a Werewolf; there's no drawbacks to it like there were in Morrowind. You also get an immunity to diseases rather early-on with the Werewolf, which makes a part of the game vanish on most characters. There's no need to have any cure disease potions, or anything.

I just...I want Bethesda to make a game as good as or better than Morrowind, but I don't think it's ever going to happen. I still believe they have it in them, but...I don't know.

If TESVI is like Skyrim and Oblivion, I might drop the Elder Scrolls series for good. Oh, and I'm hoping for either Elsweyr, Summerset Isles, or Black Marsh for the next game.

Why are you people so hellbent on game features having drawbacks?

I'm glad there's no drawbacks to being a Werewolf, it's fun. The only thing they need to do is add a combo system for sword play and larger, more challenging battles.

I'm surprised there's actually hate for Halo 4. Seems like the best Halo yet to me. Nice that the complaints aren't standardized though. No real overarching criticism like for Halo: Reach where everybody jumped on the same bandwagon. Seems to be a lot of scattered complaints. But then, some people will never be satisfied.

I agree that every game should only be fun! I think the game monopoly should remove the jails so the game can be fun! The three pokemon that you choose should be equal in every way! It's not fun that my rival picks a pokemon that's stronger than mine!

I forgot about that. What makes the Werewolf even better is that you are forced to become one if you want to finishes the questline. The best part about it is that the Companions are the only way you can become a Werewolf. So if you don't have Dawnguard and you cure yourself from the disease. You will never be able to become one again unless you start a new chracter.

Let's not forget this part about the Werewolf. In the lore Skyrim is filled Werebears. So you would think you would come agrss them and the Companions were form would be the bear, but nope. There are none in the game. So the Werewolf kinda kills that part about the lore.

Because killing someone means I have the knowledge and experience to run a magic school? I go back in time to WW2 and I kill Hitler. By your logic that means I'm capable of being in charge of the entire United Starts military. Even though I have no idea at all how to run it and make battle plans.

It's a game, of course you do things other characters can't, otherwise it'd be boring.
It's boring when every guild has the same exact outcome. Each guild should have different ending and outcomes. Depending on the choices I make and my experience. Which is called cause and effect. Which is something TES doesn't have anymore.

And xImNotProx summed up what you said about drawbacks perfectly. You have people that actually want to get a challenge out of the games and have consequences from their actions. I find it funny and ironic that you said TES could be much more challenging. But then you said you're glad there's no draw backs about the Werewolf.

Desperate trolling, lashing out with such terrible insults. Still, it is kind of satisfying seeing you try so hard. Do it again, but with more passion.

disregarded tons of pre-existing canon

Er... no it didn't. In fact it's one of the most canonically accurate games in the series and is interweaved with all the fiction going back to the IRIS Saga back in 2007 leading up to Halo 3's release.

No. Skyrim might have been pretty fun but it was just a bunch of pre-set encouters cycling around a large map with no way of quickly getting around on foot. Every other Elder Scrolls game had a way to go nuts across the map with potions, Skyrim didn't and it hides a few big flaws.

Not to mention that Halo 4 was a buggy game, disregarded tons of pre-existing canon, laggy, had heavily unbalanced multiplayer, and has MAJOR engine-based terraign glitches.

Wow you sound like someone who is not happy with anything

Thank -blam!-. Someone had to say that.

I never understand how people can get the idea that it isn't canonically correct. The first argument that should be shoved down everyone's throats is that how can Halo 4 disregard Canon if it's like, you know, the first foray into post-Covenant/Human war.

Then there's all the sweet references into the Halo lore outside of the games; books, and such. Really liked that.

It's sad how you guys can't simply enjoy good games anymore. :(

Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.

Wut?

  • 12.22.2012 8:26 AM PDT

In case you people are unaware, OP is trolling. Nobody cares that much about stats, rank, and all of that crap. Also, he is comparing a FPS to a RPG, which would make him a master troll, (because everybody is buying into it) or a complete retard. Also, if you want a challenging RPG guys, just play fallout. It is better than skyrim in almost every way. I mean, who doesn't want to explore post apocalyptic america, and find all of the old famous land marks, and stuff like that?

Also, how do you do it OP? How do you make a fool of everybody in your threads like that?

Well they take place like 1750 years apart, (assuming Tamriel technology advances at the same rate of human technology.) so there's a major difference between mostly melee combat vs. mostly projectile combat.
