So because people are really obese in america, we must regulate our eating utensils?

Their own choice vs someone else making a choice. Fat people are choosing to get diabetes, I didn't choose to allow you to have a gun so you could snap one day and shoot me. Dumb argument.

If someone wanted you dead, they can chew on a tooth brush for thirty seconds and easily stab you.

Trying to stab someone to death and squeezing a trigger from a comfortable difference are hugely, hugely different. If they weren't... why would criminals prefer to have guns in the first place? A knife is generally more easily concealed.

Check out my youtube channel. http://www.youtube.com/user/ultratog1028

Or strangle you. Or pick up a rock. The gun isn't the evil. People are responsible for thier own actions. Nobody blamed the mustard gas in the Jewish Concentration camps. Why are we blaming the guns here?

And blaming the horrific actions such as murder on a tool rather than the sick mind of a disturbed individual is simply idiotic. The fact is people that want to kill are going to kill. Fearing guns is irrational.

I'll ask again. Will these celebrities (many of which played in violent films involving guns) disarm their personal security? Or do they actually realize deep down that a good citizen with a gun can just as easily use a gun to protect and save a life as it can be used to destroy one. And does anyone think these laws will disarm anyone other than these good citizens?

This might end the thread.

They money used to make this video could have gone to something else.

Two makes there more than speakers.

Because criminals obviously obey the law.

Yes. The Sandy Shooter wouldn't have been able to carry out his attack if his mother didn't own three weapons including an assault weapon...

I know there's a statistic out there that says most gun crimes are committed with illegally obtained weapons... but illegally obtained from where? I'm willing to bet the majority of illegally obtained weapons in the US were originally legally owned in the US and NOT smuggled into the country.

Because criminals obviously obey the law.

You think that prisoners want to stay in jail? They can disobey the rules of the prison all they want, but they're not going to be able to jump over the prison walls. If you don't make it possible for a potential criminal to get a weapon... that's the end of it.

Most?

No. The point in obtaining a weapon illegally is NOT so they can get it cheaper. Often times buying a gun off the street is more expensive. The point in buying a weapon illegally is because it's harder to trace. Whether they can trace the weapon back to a legal purchase or a robbery doesn't matter. It still puts the shooter at risk.

As stated before, I'm all for placing regulation stating that licenses should be obtained and safety courses should be passed in order for a civilian to own a firearm, but going to much further than that is only hurting the law abiding citizens, not the criminals.

It would be like a drunk driver slamming his SUV into a van full of children then stating that the only way to fix the problem is to ban all cars.
