Overlong, boring, too much CGI, annoying characters, nowhere near as good as the original trilogy, made exclusively to milk a franchise...What difference is there between this and the Phantom Menace?

Why are people comparing it to the original LOTR trilogy?
I r guy who gun to teach u lesson
cOLD already had this thread.OP just wants to troll move along.
"It is the cruelest fate, to have written words that meant well and see them made wicked and unwise. What was meant to encourage life, used instead to justify taking it."
Wrong. The Hobbit had GOOD actors, was filmed on actual sets and locations as opposed to 99% blue screen, and doesn't deviate so much from previously established lore that it makes the franchise unrecognizable.
Good, Better, Best. Chuck Norris
I don't care what other people think but I liked it.
Posted by: DarkVader9494Why are people comparing it to the original LOTR trilogy?I just made that comparison now but the film suffers from legitimate, awful movie-making decisions. A highly disappointing film.
This world wants to drag you down... And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around your neck, you don’t have to carry it one more step. You think they won’t let you rest, but it’s not up to them. It never was.
You've made this thread at least once before OP. You're flogging a dead horse.
Major props to my hommie Sheeef. He made Recon possible for me. Long time recovering emails and passwords. And it was his. lol.
Ummm no? It can't be the new Phantom Menace due to the other movies haven't come out yet. So the Hobbit stands as a good starting movie of The Hobbit trilogy. So until the last 2 come out to be judged, THEN you can put the name 'Phantom Menace' on there.
3rd edition. Now with more grunt.TFS 4 lyfe

I thought it was great. CGI heavy, but still.
I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.
I watched The Hobbit last night and thought it was great.:-)

Overlong: DisagreeBoring: DisagreeToo much CGI: ehhh, debatable.Boring Characters: highly disagreeNowhere near as good: I actually prefer the Hobbit to the trilogy...
Haven't you made this thread like 3 times already OP?
I'm gonna finish it. Just like Jigga did to the pyramid.
the hobbit was epic and I liked it. 2hrs 50mins of awesome. Jackson did a great job imo.
I am a monument to all your sins
OP, stop making these threads. Nobody cares that you hate the Hobbit.

No.
Nope, because The Hobbit cannot be compared to the LOTR trilogy.
Don't be stupid like I was! Check to see what that Forum Ninja is saying to you!"I may not like what you say, but I will defend your right to the death to say it!""Tolerance is a virtue, and virtue builds character."-Onyx81
Really? It was very charming and was spot on comparec to the book.

While I never finished the book and haven't seen the movie yet, you do realize that the hobbit was written before the lord of the rings, and without the hobbit there would be no lord of the rings...
don't agree, loved every second. this is coming from a huge fan of the books and the original trilogy.
