ok, you think its a bad idea. Thats fine, its your opinion, but tell me why you think its a bad idea.
I assume you want custom maps for Live right? If so, NO!!!! Then we would have to sort through TENS OF THOUSANDS of -blam!- maps made by ten-year-olds JUST to find the ones made bu bungie, then IF AND ONLY IF you found a GOOD map, you would have to let it load and all that groovy -blam!-. I will let bungie make the maps, considering that they are good at it.
If you DON"T want it for live, then STILL NO!!!! The Tony hawk mapmaker FAILED!!! IT BLEW!!!!! It was complicated to make a SKATE PARK!!!! Now imagine trying to make a FPS MAP!!! YOu got weapon, vehicle, turret, player, grenade, and flag spawns to make. And what about buildings? There can only be so many options. I REALLY don't want to play Halo 3 on a skatepark, if you know what i mean.
you REALLY like caps. I realize that ten year olds will probably bog down the list with -blam!- maps. In fact, I adressed that in my first post. and yes I agree that user created maps and bungie maps in the same list would be terrible. But thats not what I had in mind. there would be NO (emphasis on no. really, no.) user created maps in matchmaking whatsoever. The list of user created maps would be different from the list of bungie created maps. Plus, a rating system would need to be implemented to sort out the good maps from the bad. After someone plays the map, they could rate it from 1-10 or something. I don't know, I think if bungie were to do this (and by no means do I ever expect them to, I just think it would be sweet) they would figure it out.
