Why were Halo 3 Custom games better?
1. All Forge Objects on all Maps. All maps could be Forged on.
2. Interactive Objects X 1,000,000. This is why Custom Games haven't been as fun. Jenga, Shut the Base, Trash Compactor, Hurricane Katrina, etc.
3. All objects were asthetically pleasing
4. Large amount of every Object type. (10 Crates in Halo 4? Really?)
5. Equipment allowed for an unprecedented amount of interactive maps. Gravity Lift was used as a Key to open doors.
6. Partly due to the fact that you could, break, or get out of most of the maps.
1.) Forge World was massive, so there wasn't really a need to Forge on other maps. There was Tempest as well, anyways.
2.) But all those gametypes were successfully made in Reach...
3.) Not really, it was still all just one color for the most part. At least with Reach there were different environments plus more FX you could be creative with.
4.) Well, that's Halo 4. In Reach there were a lot more Forge options than 3.
5.) AA's could fill the equipment option pretty much.
6.) You could do that in Reach anyways, get out of Forge World for more Forge space as well as Forging under the ocean, etc. Plus, you can get out of maps like Reflection, the Anniversary maps, Sword Base.
