In my opinion, halo: ODST had the best Campaign in any halo game. I also enjoyed the fact, that on legendary, I would often sneak around the enemy, rather than charge in as I was an ODST, not a Spartan (also the fact that there was an option to do that, as there was an open map, which there isn't in the later halos) So I would buy it in a heart beat.

No. Halo needs to end.

  • 12.22.2012 3:58 PM PDT

Sure would. Especially for some new "old skool" firefight.

Yes. Because it is a Halo game.

I might have if it came out by now, but the time has passed. Pretty soon, we'll be going into next generation gaming, and ODST wouldn't fit.

I do not want to stop asking. I do not ask to stop wanting.

A longer campaign of the same quality?

I'd buy two copies.

Yes, I enjoyed ODST's campaign.

  • 12.22.2012 4:01 PM PDT

As long as it is not a copy and paste of gameplay mechanics like the last ODST was.

Unsuccessfully trying to bring science and reason to The Flood...

No. I'd rather the Halo franchise wasn't milked and milked until it died. We got 5 great games which I really enjoyed (H:CE,H2,H3,ODST,Reach), and now it is on a downwards hill.

There is practically no way future games could beat what has already come, and so I'd prefer developers to come up with an original idea for a change.

Sure would. I would love to see a new cast of ODST/characters.

Do you mean completely new, or are you talking about the kilo five odst's?

  • 12.22.2012 4:05 PM PDT

No. Wouldn't be the same.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

It would need to be a full game and a good firefight mode.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I don't really think a second ODST game could work on the same level that ODST itself did. The narrative style, atmosphere, tone, just about everything about it was completely unique to Halo because it was such an isolated story following the conventions of the film-noir genre and being structured much like Dante's Divine Comedy with all the allegorical references.

I'd like to see a DLC expansion (yes, an expansion for an expansion) simply adding to the current ODST experience - an Elite side-story where you play as one before the Brutes betray you, and a mission or two from Dare's POV showing her escape underground. Some new environments too. If that were done, the game would be nothing short of perfection.

Stop arguing over imaginary -blam!-. May as well argue over Santa Claus. There will never be proof that there is/was a god - and before people start saying "HERP DERP PROVE THERE WASN'T ONE ROFLOLOL" well, you are the people who made it up in the first place so we know there isn't one
What created the big bang then? A coalition of genetically modified TR-909s with extra distortion?

I hated ODST with a passion.

Nope.

What is this "next generation gaming" you speak of? I haven't seen anything innovative in the past five years.

Except for Kinect. Kinect was very innovative.

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

I don't know. The franchise would be better off releasing every three years rather than releasing on an average of one Halo product every year as has been the case since '07.

Hell yes. ODST was the best imo.
