Or is the growth rate of casual gamers/drones just too damn high?

Can't we hardcore gamers do something about the gaming industry's current state?

Like I don't know..Some kind of PSA and spread it around like wildfire?

A cornered fox is more dangerous than a jackal.

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

Define 'hardcore' and why you have a right to decide what's wrong with casuals.

  • 12.22.2012 4:07 PM PDT

Generally speaking..Casuals are kind of breaking the department for us hardcore gamers...Things like COD mainly survive because of how easy/rewarding it is to play.

And game devs can further profit off of us with things like COD: Elite because sheeple will buy them.

I think it's much more likely it'll return to previously explored time periods.

By hardcore, you mean...?

I just play games for fun.

People who know what makes a good game good.

I thought hardcore was mainly those who proper get into them and play in competitions and other events.

I know plenty of people who are nowhere near hardcore gamers who know what makes a good game good.

CoD isn't exactly always casual friendly either :p

Depends on what next gen developers have ready to go.

  • 12.22.2012 4:20 PM PDT

I think that CoD has maybe one or two more successful games at most before it starts to tank.

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

The first next-gen exclusive COD might not because of the much smaller install base.

CoD has been decreasing in growth since the first BlOps, I believe.

There's a “U” and “I” in union but just an “I” in my beliefs

Soon, I think. The people I know are getting sick of the game.

Call of Duty will only die when an even more casual game is created. Perhaps Destiny will do the trick.

Modern Warfare 3 pushed a lot of people away.

We know next to nothing about the game. We don't even know much about how it will play. Wait until its first official gameplay trailer/leak and then we can all judge.

Which is why I said "perhaps". Also I'm not a judge, I'm a toilet, I take -blam!- without complaining.

I loved Black Ops and Blops2, Treyarch has the best CoDs IMO. But, Blops2 outsold MW3.
