I know, right?
Jay acts like she's better than everyone else simply because she's a chick.
I hope she chokes to death.
I'm not going to point any fingers, but some of the most insightful people I know are a good five years younger than me, and some of the most incredibly short-sighted people I've ever had the displeasure of meeting have been several years my senior. And yet, the overall perception in society is that age equals wisdom. Why?
Okay, so the older you get, the more life experience you have. (Usually.) I know I probably know more about life, relationships and a few other things than I did at age seventeen. But when it comes to what you might call the big questions - meaning of life, answers to the world's problems, etc. - I have heard some older ladies and gents spout some very questionable views, to put it kindly, whereas a lot of people my age seem to be a lot more clued-in when it comes to world issues and the like. Apparently, getting older doesn't necessarily make you wise where it counts. You can have a lot of experiences but not necessarily learn a thing from them, I guess.
Do you think age brings wisdom?
