Subject: Casuals, the truth

EDIT: To be specific, why gaming companies would let the majority (casuals) determine how they make their games.

The casuals will always be the majority. Lets assume that the average, current casual gamer becomes good and skilled players, almost as good as gamers who participates in MLG battles. Eventually those 'casuals' who improved will still stay at their place as casuals because there still always be certain group that will be better than them.

Millionaires are considered rich and wealthy people but if tomorrow everyone becomes a millionaire, does the status of a millionaire still hold as much prestige?

Gaming companies need to make money. It's not like they will create specificly create more challenging games to target hardcore gamers and create huge profit, like a car company would market models and designs to rich folks. Unless the better quality cost 2x the amount (or more) of the standard edition but how many hardcore gamers would accept that value?

Unforunately we just have to put up with it.

Don't punch a British kid, the queen'll come after you.

I laughed when you implied that there was prestige associated with being a hardcore gamer.

Pure Insanity
The point of war is not to die for one's clan, but it's to make the other bastard die for his
Right before you die, there is always a chance to save yourself, sieze that chance and live to fight another day
The best way to kill someone is to fight them with the same weapons they use and make them know you are better than them, not because of superior weaponry, but because of superior skill.
Hidden in the shadows, Clothed in camo, Armed to the teeth. Hunting.

I don't care at all.

Depends on how individuals see them. IMO, I don't care that much either.

I bet I'm better at flipping coins than you.

Does that make me more prestigious than you? I think not.

All that is needed for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

Wait so companies making games with good story lines, freedom to create, and a fun, relaxed experience is a bad thing?

And from FOX, two phantoms were born.

These "casual gamers" you speak of probably have things in their life that are more important than getting a 50 in mlg. You know like a family or a job...

Better in what exactly?

I mean sure, real gamers generally have more patience and dont get tired of repetitive stuff as quick.

It's not bad but 'casuals' or whatever you like to call it are always the majority so they will always cater to them.

"Casual games" make up about 10% of industry revenue.

Pulling a life check...wow.

I used to be a competitive gamer (not so much now because I dont like Halo 4), and I am quite happy with my life. No point in going into further details.

Just because some people beat you in a game doesnt mean you have to say they dont have important things in their lives. Good day.
