Does anyone have some experience with them? I'm thinking about joining up with them after university, and I was hoping I would get some opinions on them.
I'd also be interested in hearing other peoples experiences if they have been in any other military. All input is welcome, as I dont know anyone who is in any military.

I'm thinking about going into the regulars. I'd like to become an infantry officer eventually, but I guess that could change.

Well your going to need to be good on horse back, and your going to need to get used to wearing itchy red uniforms. Also, no fire arms training required.

I'd assume your leg muscles would feel more pain than I feel after my shifts at a bowling alley.

Which means you're definitely walking and running for more than 8 hours at a time.

Close, but the plague killed those infected with it, and the ignorant are still alive.
I wish ignorance was a plague.

Go to university and get a degree. It is a requirement if you want to be an officer.

Depending on your college degree it may help you when it comes to job openings. Regular force is good, although you can be moved around the country.

I dont really mind moving around the country. Thats sorta one of the good things about it for me, since I love travelling and I can be fairly independent.

he mad

OT: You'll basically spend most of your time training, and training, and training. One of my friends went in straight out of high school and he's been all over the country and back just doing training. Arctic training, Scuba diving, parachuting or something. All those, "We want you to know this stuff to be a sweet-ass soldier," kinda things.

They are creative, to say the least. I saw a video where a squad rigged a broom and a box to look like a Machine gun nest on top of a wall, stuck a dummy wearing a Kevlar helmet on it, then used it to draw fire from insurgents, so they could take them out. It was pretty impressive.

Could you please explain to me what a "read uniform" is? Is it something I need to wear in order to read my books?
