Subject: Help me decide what generation "kid" I am *EDIT*

Hey, B.net

i'm a nice guy, doesn't troll and loves Bungie. I enjoy playing video games, usualy shooters and a bit of horror , Dead Space, Halo, Gears of War, Halo, Battlefeild, did i mention Halo ? Lol. Anyways, "invest in realestate, always eat breakfast, all the chicks on the internet are ACTUALLY DUDES, and never buy the extended warrenty on anything, EVER !"

EDIT -Thanks, I know now that I am a 2000's kid but feel free to keep posting

I can't figure out if I'm a 90's kid or 2000's kid(early years, 00-05ish).

I can remember half of the90's stuff and half of the 2000's stuff, but i can't decide?

-A few helpful facts-

-born in 97
-didn't get cable until 05, but saw 'that era' shows at other houses
-got first X-box that year also, along with Halo 2
-Still have my red gameboy advance SP from when they first hit shelves
-know the Macarena
-Miss Movie Gallery (nostalgic reasons) and VHS tapes
-understand that:
PS2 > X-box
PS3 < Xbox 360
-R.I.P. Disney, Nickelodeon, and CN before 2007
-Was saddened when yu-gi-oh was banned at school
-Pokemon seasons 1-3 > 4-ect.

So far it looks more like 2000's childhood but i want your answer too flood.

what year were you born?

Or you know, you could just state the year of your birth instead of rambling on and on.

  • 12.22.2012 11:29 PM PDT

I don't see why it matters, but if you were born more than a year or two after the beginning of the decade, you're probably the following decade's child. I mean you can't have that many memories of the 90's if you were born in like '96...

"There's a very fine line between not listening, and not caring. I'd like to think that I walk that line every day."

Yeah, it doesn't matter.

But, for the record, if you missed out on most of the decade's stuff, then you're not [that] kid.

I think you missed a good portion of the 90's.

The more I say Chang the more asian it sounds.

Doesn't really matter. Everyone is unique in so many ways, why would you want to belong to a generation?

Shakes Magic 8 Ball

If you were born in 97 then you don't remember the 90s, you were too young.

  • 12.22.2012 11:38 PM PDT

Seems to me like you're trying to fit into the "90s kid" thing.

Halo 3

half a decade marks a generation?

  • 12.22.2012 11:39 PM PDT

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

Born in 97, yet remembers half of the 90's.

Ok.

You are a 00's kid.

As far as 90's kids go, yes. about '88 to '93. '93 is almost pushing it in my opinion

OT: I enjoyed my early childhood, but i can't blame someone for trying to fit in with this current gen. being so crappy.

sorry, half is exaggerating it.

-I was here

anything post '95 is a 2000s kid. Though, quite frankly, there isn't much difference other than being slightly more spoiled.

Again, I really think you're trying to fit in with that "cool crowd" of 90s people when you weren't there to really experience it. Yeah, you watched the shows and played the games, but that doesn't make you one of them. I was born in '97 as well, and I remember the things you listed. Doesn't mean I'm a "90s kid."

As for the "current generation is crap" thing, believe it or not there are good, modern things. If you're willing to look.
