"Right now it is raining methane on Titan. The planet Uranus is, hilariously, orbiting the sun sideways while Venus spins backwards. We sit here on a planet marked with collisions, rocked by earthquakes, shaken by storms. A planet doomed to be fried in radiation as its magnetic fields collapse, until the sun grows and leaves nothing of the earth but dust. Here we sit, glasses on our noses, inhalers in our pockets, braces on our teeth, and we say "Behold the perfect ORDER of it all!""

Because we're humans. Humans in general have been cruel to each other throughout history.

Because we're humans. Humans in general have been cruel to each other throughout history.

And Europe being the prime culprit.

I wouldn't go pointing that finger around this forum some people might get offended.

Well Europe is a pretty big place, made of alot of different countries and has been around for a long time.

That and there have been many different reasons for our violence. Religion, politics, or just general corruption due to power.

Europe/Asia is the mad continent. Too much history weighing it down. Too much blood.

Already did. Still not as bad as European history.
Then you read it wrong. Go learn about it again.

Well Europe has always has always been the most advanced, so who else was there to be cruel who were that advanced? They were the smartest and decided to kill the other guys before they killed them.

Europe is the second smallest continent. And I know there's a lot of variables. I'm just simplifying it because it would be a little mundane to discuss each country individually.

Say about 500 years ago, Religion was a pretty big thing. People took it incredibly seriously. Now put alot of different countries next to each other, all with different religions/denominations and violence tends to emerge. Just look at the inquisitions and the crusades.

Now I'm not saying religion is the only factor, but back then it was quite a big thing.

Everybody in the world's tryin' to get out of Washington And we're the only smocks tryin' to get in!
-Independence day

People tend to get violent when there is a lot of territories in a certain place. Countries wanted more land; Countries didn't want to give up land=War

How about you make an argument instead of wasting my time.
How about you go learn real history.

European powers exploited many countries and a lot of people, which was what brought them wealth/power.

Also, there were other cruel societies that weren't as advanced as Europe. I'm just pointing out how Europeans tend to deal the worst blows.
Yeah, the Berber really suffered from that French colonisation, they were way better off under that, O so benevolent, Arabic rule.

I'm not disagreeing. I don't want to get into religion too much because of the mods and everything, but the emergence of Christianity in Europe mixed with them being in close relation to Islamic countries was grounds for conflict.

Definitely. And like others have said, Europe was definitely the most technologically advanced, meaning we had much better ways to kill people. Just look at the holocaust. That was essentially industrialized killing.

Unsuccessfully trying to bring science and reason to The Flood...

Europeans are far from being the most cruel throughout history. It is just that we were the most technologically and agriculturally advanced in those times and so we were able to spread out and colonise vast areas, whilst keeping fairly accurate records.

You only have to look at Genghis Khan and his rampaging Mongols to see that we were no worse than anyone else back then. It was just human nature.
