The Facebook is changed. I feel it in the statuses. I feel it in the chat. I smell it in the notifications. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it. It began with the forging of the social networking sites. Myspace was given to the teen girls, ditzy, dumb, and loudest of all beings. Twitter to the ADD crowd, great creators and consumers of fast paced information bites. And Google+, Google+ was gifted to the race of men, who, above all else, desired to not be main stream. But they were, all of them, deceived, for another social networking site was made. In the land of Cambridge, in the computers of Harvard, the Dark Lord Zuckerberg forged in secret a master social networking site, to rule all others. And into this site he poured his greed, his deviousness and his will to dominate all life. One social networking site, to rule them all.
lol!
Anyways I honestly use twitter now. More mainstream, when I say that I don't mean hipster/conformist mainstream but like mainstream info of what my friends are doing/thinking.
My thoughts on these networks:
-Never had a Myspace, never will, it tends/caters to failing internet musicians.
-Tumblr is just stupid
-Google+ is well, I don't even have one.
-Facebook really disappointed me. In 2008-2009, It was great. Actual photos I cared about, more interaction with my friends, etc. Now it's a sophisticated spam email folder now. I get notifications about someone wanting to play farmville with me. I get tagged in pictures of fake sales on Air Jordans. My wall is filled with "Like if you respect this US Army soldier who died...but if you don't like the picture that means you obviously don't respect our troops"
