Who wins

Pure Insanity
The point of war is not to die for one's clan, but it's to make the other bastard die for his
Right before you die, there is always a chance to save yourself, sieze that chance and live to fight another day
The best way to kill someone is to fight them with the same weapons they use and make them know you are better than them, not because of superior weaponry, but because of superior skill.
Hidden in the shadows, Clothed in camo, Armed to the teeth. Hunting.

Me.

I don't know anything about WH40K, but I'm saying them anyway since they seem to win every one of these matchups.

Simple Plan for ever! Yes I'm a emo and I don't care what you say. I love all my friends and my guitars! Emo4life! <3

Infinity by far. And seeing as you said 15 of these, lets have a look at what they'd have...

60 SMAC cannons.
5250 pods of Archer missiles.
3750 pods of Ropier missiles.
7500 pods of Howler missiles.
12450 70mm defence guns.
Here's the specs for 1 Infinity...just times it by 15...
Also not to mention the amounts of Broadswords, Pelicans and so forth that can provide fire support against the battleship. And the Infinity is armed with the Shiva nuclear missiles as well.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Will you stop spamming these threads?

Oh look, another WH40k vs Halo thread. Wonder what'll win this time.

Please, stop. You have made so many Vs threads, all of them ridiculously unbalanced. Just stop.

Plus, IoM ships can go .75c, bathe in the corona of a star for three days straight, take multiple petatonnes of firepower, and destroy continents with a single torpedo.

Let's even this out a bit.

Retribution Battleship has a void shield. What is a void shield? A Void Shield is a special form of gravitic or electrically-charged energy field employed by the Imperium of Man's various military forces to protect super-heavy vehicles like starships and Titans from enemy attacks. Void Shields use Imperial Warp-based technology to displace ranged attacks by subtly distorting the localized space-time around the point of impact.

Retribution Battleships has many kind of weapons and torpedoes. Vortex Torpedo is one of them. Vortex torpedoes are the rarest and the mightiest of all torpedo types. Like other vortex weapons, this torpedo works by creating a temporary rift in the warp, which proceeds to rip apart and absorb everything near it. In battle, this means whole sections of the vessel gone forever into the Immaterium, complete with all the equipment and crew inside.

And Melta torpedoes. Melta torpedoes are one of the rarest and most powerful types of torpedo, second only to the terrifying Vortex Torpedoes. As their name implies, they are packed with numerous melta bombs, which explode into conflagrations of nuclear fire on impact. The inferno is powerful enough to burn through the outer armour of a ship and potent enough to engulf the whole vessel.

My happiness is not the means to any end. It is the end. It is its own purpose.

I hate only those who deserve my hate.
That's a lot of people.

couldn't you have picked a SMALLER SHIP from 40k?

You've got 15 vs 1, for a start. The Infinity holds all types of MAC rounds, from Electro-Magnetic rounds to Heavy ion rounds. A shield being hammered by those at the same time, wouldn't last. Next; nukes. The Infinity holds about 20 Shiva class warheads (according to trivia I've read), times that by 15 and you've got 300 incredibly powerful nukes. Also remember in Reach, they rupture a slipspace drive that teleports half of a Super carrier into oblivion? Could easily been done locally to the battleship. The Infinity is also made up of Titanium Class A armour. That could withstand the full impact of about 3 Shiva nukes at once (including the nukes affecting shields as well). The 70mm deck guns and mass drivers are known to be used against enemy shells or torpedoes from impacting the hull. Could easily be done against these torpedoes, and also to say that the Infinity is manuverable. The Infinity (according to trivia) has rammed straight through a CCS Battlecruiser before, tearing it in half. What's stopping one of these Infinities doing that to the battleship?

The answer to MACs and ramming? IoM ships can travel at 75% the speed of light. MAC rounds travel at 40% the speed of light, at most. In addition, if you looked at pictures of IoM ships, you would notice they are designed for ramming other ships. Because that is a viable combat tactic. Thirdly, those SHIVA nukes are actually quite weak compared to some of the ordnance the Imperial Navy packs. Can a single SHIVA destroy an entire continent? Thought not. Next, Void shields are not technically shields. They teleport the ordnance into the Warp, not absorb it head on. Finally, 3 metres of titanium is not that impressive when your broadsides strike with several hundred gigatones of force.
