Where's the army of mythics praising and drooling over Halo 2?

Halo 4 has the best campaign, easily.

I like to think of the Halo 2 multiplayer as a beta multiplayer for the Halo franchise.

Agreed.

Do you remember those awful cheats I mentioned. I shuddered when I was remembering them to write.

What house has a rocket pod, has legs, and has a long narrow barrel that probably shoots something powerful?

Sounds like you're describing the lower half of my body, actually.

Do you remember the melee lunges? How does a person lunge like that? In fact if you purposefully miss aiming at someone with the rocket launcher it goes straight towards the person. I really can't see that game as competitive. It just reeks of horrible game design.

Remember, it's gets better.

The awful unbalanced weapons. Lock on to everything rocket launcher, smgs and duel wielding (dual wielding makes my skin crawl) and the laser beam of a BR. Shudders.

If I ever get AIDS, I'm going to sleep with another AIDS person so my AIDS cancel each other out, or I'm going to make the AIDS I already have worse.

I remember the glitch to make the BR shoot 6 bullets instead of 3.

Oh yeah? Remember the huge hitboxes and bullet magnetism? Swipe sniping wasn't anything special because you could still miss but hit someone.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

I've been playing Halo since CE and I would disagree. Do you think that saying that you've been playing since the beginning adds some sort of credibility to everything you spew? If my approval of Halo 2 was run solely on nostalgia, then I would be begging for Halo CE's mechanics in the slop of a game that is Halo 4.

It's not so hard to see that games like Halo 2 and 3 had a big skill gap and games like Halo 4 do not. It's easy to say that everyone still begging for Halo 2 and 3 are nostalgic fanboys because they just seem like a vocal minority to everyone rooting for games that emulate CoD's terrible formula (the drastically bigger audience that most game developers have recently been trying so hard to cater to) are a bunch of casuals rooting for relaxing games that require a small learning curve to feel welcomed.

If an FPS comes out that doesn't feel sloppy/glitchy/produced with little budget, which has a big learning curve and little randomness involved, like how Halo 2 and 3 had, you will be seeing me there. I'm hoping that Destiny will be that way if it is an FPS.

Halo 2 was the best game for glitch fun.

Don't get me started on Halo 4. At least in Halo 2 they didn't highlight the guns or/and make it random. You actually had to memorize them. One of the things I liked about all the Halo multiplayers gone in Halo 4. It pretty much destroyed any reason to learn the map. I'll wait till Halo 5 just like I waited for Halo 3 when Halo 2 was released. Hopefully, they don't make me feel so alienated the next Halo game.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

No, stop it! I loved halo 2.

  • 12.23.2012 11:47 AM PDT

Haha, I have no idea what you're talking about.

It had decent maps, but the campaign dragged at parts.

The game held your hand through everything, hell it even aimed your gun for you and if you still managed to not have your cursor over the target the game would teleport the bullets you fired into the enemies face.

How the hell does a game that aims for you and teleports missed shots into your enemies head take skill?
