Why Bungie, why would you do this?! - Halo Community

Anyways, I am saying it still isn't the same as Halo 2's. Any part of the reticule has to be on the player in order to get the kill while in Halo 2 it didn't.
And that was a problem with Halo 2. Keep in mind Xbox Live back then wasn't everything it is now as well. The netcoding on all games back then were "mediocre" at best, and that H4 has about 8 extra years of technical backing and an upgraded platform on Halo 2. Not justifying the Auto-Aim, but merely explaining it.
Most of H2's "problems" involved glitches and heavy netcode compensation. Meanwhile, H4 and Reach had the chance to be amazing games, but they weigh themselves down with countless balancing issues.

Which is why that auto aim and bullet magnetism existed on LAN too right? Bungie always intended to casualise Halo 2 in order to appeal to a larger amount of people and get the franchise going. Stop trying to make excuses for it.
Also you people need to stop trying to change the subject to other games whenever people challenge your beliefs with evidence to support them.
I was never trying to make excuses, if you even read my post. Of course they were appealing to a casual audience, who said they weren't? And making the LAN different would be far too difficult. It would require changing the hardcode of the engine and then keeping this entire engine around in the memory.

You know my last post was going to be the one before this in this thread but you want to keep going. Do not start with the balancing issue. Don't even dare start with that. Anyone who had played Halo 2 pre-TU would understand the problems it had.
- Was I supposed to use my mind reading machine to know this?
- Not going into it, heh? Because it was balanced?
- I played pre-TU Halo 2, and it was pretty bad, though Reach pre-TU was filled with an equal amount of frustration and BS.
All in all, I felt Halo 2 was a good game, and the simplicity and "FAIRNESS" of the game is what drove people toward it, not constant BS that is in Halo Reach and 4.
