Here's my idea of a multiplayer map for H3. its kindof long but its really tight. (well.. in my opinion)

It's kindof like RELIC but just better. (in my opinion)

So there's a beach that is about 100 yds. or more that leads up to a huge cliff wall. In the cliff wall, there will be a base. Maybe ramps or other things that can get you up into the base. This is, lets say, where the BLUE team starts. Then on the end beach near the water, there will be three crashed pelicans. This is where the RED team starts. Each pelican will have a purpose. One pelican will be crashed in the sand, butt end into the sand, and the cockpit is pointing towards the sky. the cockpit will be a "sniping tower" that overlooks the beach area in between itself and the base. The other two pelicans will have two turrets on the top. The RED team will start out with a sniper, and will have tons of cover scattered over the beach so it evens out. There will be TRENCHES in the beach leading up to the base which also provide tons of cover and also give the map a little close counter feel to it. There will be no rockets on the map (unless "Bungie" disagrees). To make it fair for the RED team to succesfully make it up the beach, there will be plenty of BR's (please bring the BR back!!!) mainly for covering fire on the BLUE team's sniper and also just to shoot the other team up.

The BLUE team will not have a sniper that can be reached easily. It will be placed on the highest floor of the base. THE TEAM WILL START ON THE BOTTOM FLOOR. The BLUE base will go a reasonable ways into the cliff wall and will have multiple stories. On the second (or higher) story, there will also be two turrets overlooking the beach area between itself and the pelicans. For both teams, the turrets mountings are not encouraged until the opposite team's sniper is taken out.

this is all i have for now, if you have any ideas please reply below =).

i have always deamed of a kind of map like that.... kind of like D-Day....

As for your map, i think that it can either be a sniper map or an infiltrator (like assault, 1flag CTF) map. If you have a sniper rifle in the hands of a pro player that will pick off anyone in the other team's base it won't be fun. I think the BR will be a nice starting weapon, but i disagree with your views with the rocket launcher. I think that it can be used in certain modes (ex: CTF/Assault the BLUE/RED team gets it).

sounds alot like the Omaha beach. Which would be fun. It would only be good for flag/bomb games. but still it would be awesome. i have an idea for a map too

There are four islands. There is a huge shallows between them. The shallows are deep enough for someone to stand in them and be completely submerged. But flag carriers and vehicles would be able to be seen(maybe not a ghost). Also rocks and such jut out of the shallows giving it a more realistic touch and some cover for flag runners and vehicles. Each base is almost completely identical. Lets say i have crossed the shallows from green base to blue base. There is a beach with a tank on it with a base towering above looking like the main structure entrance in the silent cartographer level except it is more human like. two trails lead up both sides of a cliff. It also has a back tunnel entrance that cannot fit a vehicle in it. Although a vehicle can be driven up the front entrances. As soon as you reach the top of the front trails you are looking at two turrets and a base entrance. The turrets have a complete view of the level. As you hop on a turret you see huge sea rock jutting out of the shallows giving cover to any crossing in a vehicle. behind the two turrets is a base with three entrances. a one way tunnel leading up through the back. a roof with a hole in it (kind of like the one in coagulation but bigger) and a front main entrance. There is a banshee perched on the roof and a garage to the left of the base containing one light vehicle. As you enter the base it is simple. There is a wide opening big enough to drive a ghost around in it (not to big though). There is a pedastle in the middle with the flag/bomb spot. Weapon spanws litter the wall and some tables. A small ramp leads up to the roof where the banshee is. A portal can be activated from the roof allowing you to warp to the front of the base.

The point of this level is to make people prepare to enter the enemy base without getting any weapons on the way. There are no weapons except on or near bases. If you get the flag you have three options. Walk across the shallows. imagine seeing through a sniper only the top of the flag and a shady outline of a spartan holding the flag. Also a vehicle or warp can be used to get out of the base. the shallows allow surprise attacks and make teams have a constant eye out for possible attackers. There can never be a non defending team. It will make you split up your team into an attacking/ defending parts. It can also be used in bomb games and slayer. oddbal might not be fun on the map. Juggernaught would be sweet here as it is an open level. Also king of the hill might be cool. You would just have to allow people to spawn near the hill and not across the map. Rockets in each base would eliminate the threat of overpowered spawn camping and/or vehicles becoming the power weapon in this level. The base setup makes it so that you have to fight at the base and once you are out in the open your chances are much better of surviving. I hope someone at bungie likes this idea

"Thoughts are the shadows of feelings; always darker, emptier, and simpler."

Make one Pelican nose front in the ground and let ppl get inside the back. lol, good hiding spot. But throw one grenade and....................BOOM!

I think that it could be fun if you could drive the Pelican. That way there could be a square shaped base. Most of the base will be overlokking the beach, but there could be a countyard or something that could be large enough to hold a pelican. Inside the courtyard you could have energy swords/rockets or things like that. That would make it even more fun.

Or to BETTER it there could be no entrance into the base in the cliff except for the courtyard. The only thing would be that the Beach team needs to have 2 snipers and the Cliff team needs BRs.

I don't know, just a thought.
