Just remember... I keep it real...
Okay, I know that there are other places I should have posted this, but oh well. Halo 3 probably will NOT have any multiplayer bots to play with. Why you might be asking... because of one obvious reason. Xbox Live. Halo 2 was set out to be made into a must have for any Xbox owner, with a killer online. Microsoft made a game (yes I know Bungie made the game, but look who owns Bungie) that would send people flying to buy Xbox Live and all of its accessories. People want more then 4-player split-screen or co-op. They want more then four people playing in a single game. Yes, bots aren’t as good as online. But knowing Microsoft, if someone was content with only having bots to play with, then that would be one less Xbox Live account and less money in the pocket. Microsoft doesn't do anything without some green in mind (money for stupid people). Why do you think Halo 2 was chopped and rushed, Microsoft wanted a killer Xbox 360 game that would drive sales up. Just imagine, if there was 15 multiplayer bots in one game, then that would be 16 less Xbox Live accounts. Do you have any idea why there is ALWAYS someone paying Halo 2, because they want to play against someone else. "Let’s see, if there aren’t any bots, then I must get Xbox Live so I can play others..." Microsoft gets another $50 and some accessory money. I know other Xbox Live enabled games have bots, but Halo 2 wasn't designed to be like any other game. Microsoft knew it would sell, so they exploited every opportunity in the design plan. I personally, was surprised that there were no bots. I always thought that there would be. When I first played... I was like... "Now what?" expecting to see some bots running around. Now guess what, I play on Xbox Live and I fell victim to the trap. Giving money each year. Halo 3 will meet the same fate. Microsoft knows Halo 3 will be a killer, remember when Bill Gates set the release date back then to the PS3 release date. One HUGE game, against a new console. I highly bet that Microsoft has already been thinking of some new ways they can sell items for Xbox Live for Halo 3 so they can get even more money. Think about it. With bots, at least one person might decide not to get Xbox Live. That's one $50 a year account, one $20-30 headset, and one $??? camera that might not sell. I personally wouldn’t mind having bots, you just have to get over it. It will not happen. If you want AI, then play campaign.
