Subject: Your favourite film of 2012?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

T4R

This year has been absolutely fantastic for films, there have been some absolute belters.

Mine would have to be The Hobbit, however Skyfall comes a close second.

Jackson's return to Middle Earth after like 9 years was so worth waiting for, my only issues with the film were the occasional jarring transition of scenes and how some of the dwarves weren't developed very well (but hey, it's the first film of a TRILOGY so it can probably be forgiven). Beyond that, I have no issues, easily this year's best film for me, worth seeing for the absolutely brilliant riddles scene between Bilbo and Gollum - Serkis yet again consolidates his place as one of the best actors of this generation, and Freeman's portrayal of Bilbo was stunning.

心の中に弱い風が吹いています。

That's a hard one to pick, but probably The Avengers.

Probably The Hobbit, but as I am about to watch The Dark Knight Rises a second time (and apparently it is much better the second viewing) so it might change.

Avengers. Only movie I cared about enough to see more than once. It had flaws, sure, but it was hella fun.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I'ma rate what I've seen so far:

The Grey - 10/10
Ted - 8/10
TDKR - 9/10
Avengers - 8.5/10
The Master - 9/10
The Hobbit - 7.5/10
Les Miserables - Haven't seen it yet but likely going to give it a standing ovation like and Americlap when I see it Christmas Day/10

So I guess, from what I've seen so far, The Grey technically. Les Mis might also get top spot.

Oh goodness, how could I forget Skyfall? - 9.5/10

I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

I saw Skyfall in a small theatre, and when it ended everyone clapped.

On that note, Skyfall was really good.

Just remembered the Grey. That was damn good too.

We should know better, because we are better.

Top few, in no particular order: Looper, TDKR, The Grey, Avengers, Skyfall.

I loved it the first time, but I watched it again last week and really didn't like it that much. I came to notice more and more plot holes and general non-sensical things that dragged down the film, and Bane really was a god-awful antagonist IMO.
