I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. This thread and what my psychology class was discussing gave me the idea to create this thread.
Psychology says that pople are not born evil, but they do have the ability to be evil, that is if that situation allows them to be. Now of course everyone has their own unique and personal definition of evil. I however am assuming that our definitions of evil are similar.
Here is the situation:
You have the means to kill one person, your actions will receive no consequences, positive or negative. You do not get to choose the person you kill, it is just a random person.
Would your answer change if you sat the person down and told them: "You're going to die", or would you be more inclined to do it if you just pushed a button without knowing who the victim was?
The victim will not be anybody that you hold in a positive regard.
