I like shorts. They're comfy and easy to wear.

Even people with doctorates in American literature will tell you that's wrong.

I hope everyone isn't saying England just because England had Shakespeare.

Everyone's saying England because they have superior literature.

In what ways? Can you elaborate on your assertion?

We talking modern day countries? If not, Ancient Greek Mythology and it's stories (Homer.) beat out England.

Our troops are facing towards the Sun,
Stepping on the earth of Motherland,
Carrying the nation's hope,
We are an indomitable power!
Our troops are facing towards the Sun;
Marching towards the final victory
And the liberation of entire country!

I'm a stubborn guy. I love to argue my opinion, but unlike others, I'll try to see your side of the problem. I'm a triathlete, with a very heavy empephis on the swimming bit. Also, don't hate on the ~Quinton~ at the end of my posts. Why are you still reading this? #creeper #hashtagcashmoney for hashtaging on Bungie.net

I'd have to say England. However I am biased, because I only am fluent in the English language and I haven't read very many, if any translated books.

French literature has some good books, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Les Miserables by Victor Hugo to name a few.

Some can come away from reading "War and Peace" thinking it a simple adventure story, while others can read the ingredients on a gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe.

Greek if you want to go all time.

Modern day England is big, but lol @ the complete disregard of America.

Twain, Washington Irving, Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Edgar Alan Poe, William Faukner, and Arthur Miller, just to name a few.

It's honestly closer than the Brits would have you think, and weighs more favorably in Americas direction when you consider how long the 2 countries have existed.
