Two events come to mind. First being what we called, "The Battle of Bunker Hill", taking place during the weeks after Gears of War 2 was released. Four friends and myself were playing Insane Horde on Canals and had reached Wave 50. Lives were sacrificed, men became heroes, and so much fun was had. We all had quite the laugh during that session and still bring up jokes made during it four years later.
The second event which comes to mind is "The Shirtless Mass Effect 3 Gold Victory of Champions". A couple of friends and I were going hard as -blam!- on Gold difficulty one summer night and were having a bit of bad luck. Deciding the change strategies, my one buddy got really into it and declared he's going shirtless for this round. We all followed and ripped off our shirts and with lots of luck, beat Gold in a blaze of glory. Once again, lives were sacrificed, inside jokes were born, and great times were shared.
Horde style game-modes create a lot of good memories in my case.
